Carpe Diem: Reboot

Comprendo que el final verdadero deje confundido a más de uno, pero era algo que no debe sorprender del todo, dado que su protagonista Jung nos había confesado aquel antiguo asesinato que había cometido y del que no guardaba remordimiento alguno.[/spoiler]

Not bad decent writing and voice actor.

A very nice game. Cute character designs. It was a nice build off of the first one in a direction I didnt anticipate. There is only one slightly negative thing I have to say about it: I just wish there were more chances for the player to choose routes. Overall absolutely worth the play and I would really enjoy it if there was a 3rd installment.

In [i]Carpe Diem: Reboot[/i], the storyline of the previous game, [i]Carpe Diem[/i] is expanded in a rather satisfying way. You learn more about the A.I., the MC, and more interestingly, the powers that be in the world of [i]Carpe Diem[/i]. The game features two different endings, leaving the possibility open for two potential paths for a sequel. A sequel I would be quite interested in seeing made, more for [spoiler]a potential redemption arc[/spoiler] than anything else. As they currently stand, the endings are not terribly satisfying, however the gameplay is nice for a casual visual novel experience.

Carpe Diem is a really fun read. I really enjoyed the characters and how the story progressed. Even with how short this novel was I think the dev did a good job with the overall pace of the story and I did not notice any random plot holes. Even though some side characters only get enough screen time to finish a bowl of ramen they all left enough of an impact without intruding on the story. The soundtrack and the art style are both really nice and elevated the overall experience for me. The endings while not the greatest did leave a large impression on me, especially the True Ending that really flipped the story upside down for me. Based on how the previous parts of the story were written I was expecting some completely different endings so that bait and switch was a great way to conclude this novel. I fully recommend Carpe DIem: Reboot it was a great read and I do hope to see the dev continue making more fun stories like this one.
