About
CARNAL is a fast and challenging old-school shooter taking loving inspiration from the 90's greats made on the Quake and Build Engine.
Enter a strange world filled with mysteries, conspiracies, and paranormal activity.
Mixing classic FPS action with an unsettling horror atmosphere, every episode and unique level will keep you on the edge.

As a chad member of the Realm Defense Force, take on the terror organization known as the Sons of Anak, who have opened portals to the "other side" throughout the city of Seed Valley. Once there they plan to extract Dark Matter in order to build weapons of mass destruction.
Destroy their soldiers and operations, as well as any "other" hostile entities that plan on stopping you.
Be warned: the world looks a lot different on the "other side", and it also probably smells bad.

Great crazy retro shooter that is a steal for the price.
I all around agree with the handful of other reviews that point out that if this were a one episode and done sort of thing it would actually be better. Ep 1 is varied enough and at around 90 minutes at a dollar it would be pretty much perfect. The sight gags are funny, the enemy roster is varied, there's some actual interesting level design the further into Ep 1 you go etc. The issue is Ep 2 and 3 feel so tacked on and frankly lame that it kind of drags the experience down in retrospect. I respect this dev a lot and still recommend the game but in all honesty, play Ep 1 and pretend the game is over in my honest opinion. Recommended.

Even for just 99 cents I cannot recommend this pos game. There's only 2 difficulty levels, Normal and Hardass. Even on Normal you die to just ONE enemy in less than 2 seconds, let alone when they throw 5 plus enemies at you. You have lives but you lose one when your health hits zero, go to 100, repeat. But you die so fast you could have 3 lives and hit game over within seconds. There's NO indication or even a slow down period when you lose a life. Also all the levels are just unlocked from the getgo so there's no point to even trying to beat a level amongst the BS. Skip on this garbage.
Genuinely one of the scariest shooters I've ever played. Absolutely worth the time and the money.
A surprisingly good game for such a low price. A really solid boomer shooter with 17 levels. The quality of each level varies a bit, with the best ones being just as good as the classics with plenty of details and easter eggs and a few nice bits of soundtrack too. The combat is fast and frantic, reminding me a bit of Serious Sam with its large open arenas for strafing and bunny hopping through clouds of projectiles. There are cons - the less developed levels tend to be forgettable without having a strong theme to give you a sense of place. Also, there's some pretty bad edgy humour - undoubtedly inspired by classics such as Duke Nukem and Shadow Warrior, so this will please some for the nostalgia, but in my opinion was a tackier part of this genre best left behind. To conclude, I should reiterate that the pros FAR outweigh the cons and it's a very easy recommendation at such a low price. it could easily be 3x more expensive and still feel worth the money.
good
Finally some great stuff; always refreshing to shoot some ♥♥♥♥.
I’m surprised more people aren’t talking about Carnal. The visuals nail that grungy, late 90s’ - early 00s’ FPS look, it controls pretty well, the soundtrack is solid, (you can even download it as free DLC, which is always appreciated) and there’s a good amount of content for the price. That price being only 99 cents. Carnal is probably one of, if not THE best bargains I have found on this platform (outside of sales events). If you like Quake, Duke Nukem 3D, Shadow Warrior, Half-Life 1, Postal 2 and the like, I think you’ll love this.
BOM
This game does what it says on the tin: its a boomer shooter with a horror theme and a good dash of humour. While I wouldnt call the gameplay thrilling to the max, for one buck, you get a decently crafted, entertaining experience, which is more I got for other games for a lot more.
