Did you know that Captain Wayne doesn't know what sex is? What Captain Wayne does know, however, is how to respect your time. Yes, in this game, you can save whenever, wherever, and jump right back in where you last left off. This is already pretty damn good, so what about the rest of the stuff? Right below. THE GOOD: + Unique aesthetic reminiscent of newgrounds and 2000s internet. Specifically, it reminds me of Alien Hominid, and has a similar sense of humor + Incredibly fast-paced gameplay. I'd be willing to bet that the Dev team has ADHD, because there's never a dull moment here. From the high-speed fights, to the platforming, to the soundtrack; I saw a reviewer describe this game as "being on drugs" and all I can say about that is "YES" + Speaking of the soundtrack, it is nothing short of glorious. Nearly every song is a banger. Especially the main menu music + This game just oozes personality. Look at Wayne, for example. He's a filthy criminal, but also one of the most badass ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you'll ever see. + Never have I ever played a game that made me want to smoke cigars, chug beer, and shoot shotguns as much as this one. + Doesn't overstay its welcome by being appropriately short. + Despite the fact that the campaign is quite well-made, the game really shines in Riptide Rampage (score attack/survival mode). Small arena, lots of ammo, good soundtrack, and you got yourself a banger. + From a completionist standpoint, the game is perfectly reasonable to 100%. THE BAD STUFF - It can be a little overwhelming at times. I played in 30 minute chunks simply because it's so overstimulating that I needed a break from just 50% of a stage. Thankfully, the game's saves allow for just that. - The final two bosses are less interesting, and not as memorable. despite the fact that it should be the opposite Does Captain Wayne achieve what it was trying to do? Absolutely. Is it worth buying? YES. Is it worth getting on a sale? 100%. Is it worth getting at full price? Considering the quality of the material, I'd say so. Is there someone whom I wouldn't recommend it towards? Probably people who are easily overstimulated/have biological sensory challenges. I know you can make the game slower but I don't know how. 9.2/10, easily.

Абсолютно безбашенный шутер с мощнейшим саундтреком и поехавшим мультяшным визуальным стилем. Главный герой пародийный "крутой парень", подражающий Дюку Нюкему. Расстреливаем толпы нелепых врагов с редкими остановками на просмотр кринжовых мультиков между уровнями. Забудьте о каком-либо балансе и вменяемом левел-дизайне, тут всё подчинено сумасшедшей динамике и драйву. И я был готов полностью отдаться этому весёлому сумасшествию, закрыв глаза как на несбалансированность оружия и врагов, так и на дезориентирующую вырвиглазную цветовую палитру, если бы не последние уровни...Там происходит такая вакханалия, что до финала дойдут не все. Порой на экране вообще ничего не разобрать от обилия эффектов и врагов. Весь фан исчезает, теряясь среди орд противников и боссов. Не смотря на слабые финальные уровни, хочу осторожно порекомендовать игру, тем более есть ещё режим с выживанием на аренах где можно неплохо провести время. Captain Wayne-это та самая ситуация, когда до коробки с игрушками и солдатиками добрался бестолковый младший брат, некоторые игрушки сломал, другие поджог и теперь стоит в стороне и хохочет. Не все поддадутся дикой харизме этой игры, но попробовать советую, желательно по скидке.
