On the surface level this game seems great. Fun art, fun theme, good music, lots of gameplay variety, enemy variety, some unique weapons, fast movement with some cool grapple hook movement sections. Story is also goofy, maybe a bit over the top with the puns and references, but that can be charming to some people. The core gameplay is where it falls apart though. In other old school shooters like DOOM, Serious Sam, Halo ..., you get into this nice flow state where you have a general idea of what weapons are most efficient on enemies and also have to manage your resources as some weapons can be better overall, but you have less ammo for. I never had issues with old school DOOM even though it uses up a good bit of the number keys. Some weapons might also pierce or do AOE damage and sometimes you have to prioritize certain enemies. It's simple at its core but fun to make decisions on the fly as your playing. In this game, killing enemies is tedious and frustrating and dull. All weapons have infinite ammo (except one, but it shows up right at the end, its has very limited ammo, and the game intentionally makes extra frustrating encounters so you feel forced to use it) meaning no thinking about resources. This makes sense though, since in this game enemies are for the most part only killable in a single defined way, sometimes involving multiple weapons. This also means there is no way to deal with different foes at once and a group battle involves awkwardly trying to remember how to exclusively kill each enemy one by one essentially. The most frustrating one was a fat guy in speedos that requires you to use the gnome throw to get rid of his socks (this weapon is already annoying since it does damage over time), then you switch to the tailor gun and shoot a bomb at him (even if this hits multiple enemies you will not have enough time to deal with all enemies that get caught in it) and then shoot him with the tailor gun. The speedy business guy was also annoying because he sounds annoying, and you also have to hit him with the tailor gun's bomb and once again even if you get multiple you only have time to shoot one with the tailor gun before you have to again use the bomb on another speedy guy. Lots of enemies are just annoying too, Karen pepper spray making screen all green, photo guy flashbanging you, all them repeating lines constantly. So you only have basically one optimal way to kill enemies and some involve tedious rules and orders to follow. Maybe this could have worked, but another aspect to this that makes it really bad is enemies are bullet sponges. Enemies have health bars and they are just so slow to kill, and it's weird because you expect this to be a fast paced game given how fast you move around. Most enemies just stand there too or some mindlessly charge at you. Because enemies are so slow to kill, you once again essentially have to fight them one by one and there is no interesting synergy when they are in groups (the closest is the boom box girl that buffs everyone around her). These same problems apply to the bosses of the game. They are very gimmicky but very varied, which is kind of neat, but they also have parts that are repetitive and it also is just slow and takes forever to get through those tedious parts because they decided to make them bullet sponges for no reason (or in the case of the final boss, make you tediously dodge repeating moves till it gives you rocket ammo). You also get a slap glove ability that insta kills enemies really fast for like 12 seconds. I was looking forward to getting this charged up, not because it could save me from a tough situation, but once again because the game intentionally puts very tedious battle arena sections and the slap speeds you through it. Sadly it also takes forever to build up so you only get to use it about once per level, and they also design levels such that you basically have to use it when its charged up. I was excited about the water gun because it is kind of cool to use. The primary is like a basic Splatoon gun, makes you fast and charges up the secondary which is like a machine gun and kills fast. The problem is "fast" here is still slow, charging up is slow. One full charge up kills one enemy and while at first it seems like it's one weapon that can do damage to enemies that seem to only be attacked one way, its really slow on those enemies. Again, doing damage is so slow in this game. I hate that I didn't like this game because everything else around it is pretty good, but if I'm playing an FPS game and the feeling I'm having is that its boring and tedious and slow to fight enemies, that kind of ruins the rest of it because I can only do the fun extra bits (finding secrets and exploring, platforming sections, some gimmick levels) by doing the main boring part.
It's a little bit of a spastic shooter with lots of memes and references (Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil 4, Zero Wing, etc.). I recommend playing on easy as there's a LOT going on at any given time. Took me 4.3 hours to beat the main story without collectable hunting. I'll probably revisit at some point to 100%. Controller worked flawlessly although I did notice button actions had a slight lag to them (not sure why). Glitch/bug-wise there was one level I had to restart since a checkpoint happened as an enemy died. Since the game wanted me to kill an enemy that was already dead on a checkpoint reload, it was borked. Edit: I went back and 100% the game now. You unlock the infinite launcher (wardrobe) after story completion, and it makes getting everything else pretty easy. I had to redo a few stages extra times from missing enemies but it wasn't too bad.
Man am I late to the party. I had this on my wish list after hearing good things and for whatever reason bought it a few days ago. This is unironically such a great boomer shooter. The weapons all sound and feel amazing to use. The game is legit pretty hard on the higher difficulties. The movement is fast without feeling slippery or out of control. The soundtrack is a complete bop while also fitting perfectly in with the humorous tone. I don't know how they did it but I think this is a perfect game? If you've EVER liked a boomer shooter you owe it to yourself to try this one. If you've NEVER liked a boomer shooter this is a great introduction to the genre. Fashion Police Squad is a joyous triumph. Buy it now!
Enfim, recomendo.
DOOM shooter with a fashion theme its good ! very colourful wpeasons that only hurt spefic enemies. have to keep swapping weapons. A colourful DOOM game instead of dark , fighting hell spawn

The game gets real boring real quick unfortunately. It also does that thing no one likes, where you can "only" defeat enemies with a particular weapon. The guns don't feel fun to use and everything else is average at best. Try it on sale. It's not horrible, but if you're looking to scratch that doom itch, this isn't it.
