This is my first-ever review on Steam, and I’m writing it because I really love Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions and genuinely want this sequel to succeed. Things I Like The new goalie mechanic is really neat. It adds another layer to the gameplay and, in my opinion, makes the game much better than simply taking constant shots to wear down the goalkeeper. Miracle Actions are awesome! They feel exciting and really capture the spirit of Captain Tsubasa. The soundtrack is epic and always gets me hyped. There are also a lot of teams to choose from, which gives the game plenty of variety. Overall, the gameplay is fun and has a lot of potential. Things That Could Be Improved I think they went a little overboard with all the lighting effects, sparks, and visual effects. One of the coolest things about Rise of New Champions is being able to watch a character perform an amazing dribble or see a goalkeeper make an incredible super save. The animations and cinematic actions are one of the best parts of the game. However, with all the sparks and effects happening everywhere, they can sometimes obscure the players and make it difficult to actually see these awesome animations. There are also too many animations happening during gameplay, which can slow down the overall flow and make matches feel less smooth. The passing feels very stiff and doesn’t feel as fluid as it could be. The crossing is okay, but it could definitely use some improvement. A lot of the time, I’m not sure exactly where the ball is going to land, which makes it very difficult to position my player properly. Overall I really enjoy this game and want to see it succeed. It has a lot of great ideas, and the core gameplay is fun. If the developers can tone down some of the visual effects, improve the flow of the animations, and make passing and crossing feel more fluid and predictable, I think the game would be in a much better place. I’m really looking forward to seeing how the developers continue to improve it!

$59.99 for the base game. $79.99 for "Deluxe." $89.99 for "Ultimate." Plus separate DLC for a jersey set. I have spent more money unlocking cosmetic balls for a 16-year-old anime protagonist than I spent on my last real football shirt — and somehow still didn't buy myself a personality, because when I made my custom player in Story Mode expecting a self-insert power fantasy, I got disappointed to find out that Tsubasa's hair has more of a character arc than I do. Would not recommend. Somewhere between the microtransactions and the one-button super shots, I realized I wasn't playing a $90 game — I was playing a mobile gacha that forgot to ask me for my email address.
No podés desarrollar estadísticas diferentes. No podés disparar. No podés intentar evitarlo. No podés realizar ninguna acción.
Aquí solamente tenemos un New Star/avatar persistente. No necesitaba que copiaran exactamente Rise of New Champions. No menos. No recomendado.
Honestly, the game should be maximum 40$ because it has less content and feels unfinished. The graphics is outdated, the textures looks like an old game even on max resolution, neither support of DLSS or raytracing... Also, The game is not fully optimized and need some updates, like no option for full screen mode and no support of ultrawide in 2026, Besides some frames drops. I recommend to wait and get it on sale.
RoNC was better.. I recommend buying this game on sale, it's not worth the price. The only good thing you can do is become a goalkeeper.
For starters, the game is very visually appealing. It is not ugly by any means. However, there is a big gaping hole that the developers left in the game, that I cannot not ignore. In World Fighters, you cannot create your own teams. You can edit the National Teams and use your custom character there, but no custom/dream teams. I have been excited for this game ever since it was first announced. I have continuously been excited to play this game, just to find out that the one thing I wanted the most isn't even an option. It is really disheartening. It just made since for it to be an option, looking at the first game. I'm willing to play the game, since I paid so much for it. However, that is the only reason.
