Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 31 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Fun casual game. Too bad the difficulty level is not quite adequate. Replay the same thing quickly gets boring, but the game justifies its price. Moreover, there are cards and achievements.

i've never done it with a cannon before but why not
Cannons-Defenders: Steam Edition, developed and published by REX PEX GAMES, is a small-scale indie defense game that blends arcade-style shooting with simplified tower defense mechanics. Released on Steam as an expanded version of the original mobile concept, the game revolves around defending a vulnerable base from waves of incoming enemies using a set of movable cannons. Rather than building large defensive structures or managing complex resource systems like traditional tower defense titles, the game focuses on quick decision-making and reactive gameplay. Its design philosophy is clearly centered on accessibility and straightforward mechanics, presenting players with an experience that can be learned quickly but still offers moments of challenge as enemy waves grow more intense. The basic premise is simple: hostile saboteurs descend toward the player’s base, often arriving via parachutes or other aerial approaches, and it is the player’s responsibility to eliminate them before they reach the ground and sabotage the installation. The defensive tools available are cannons placed across several firing slots, and the core mechanic involves repositioning these cannons in real time to respond to threats appearing in different lanes. Unlike most tower defense games where towers remain permanently fixed once placed, Cannons-Defenders encourages constant movement and adjustment. Cannons can be dragged between positions to intercept enemies approaching from different directions, forcing players to monitor the entire battlefield and react quickly whenever a new threat appears. This dynamic repositioning system creates a gameplay rhythm that feels closer to an arcade reaction game than a traditional strategy title. Enemies often appear in multiple areas at once, and players must quickly decide where their cannons will be most effective. A poorly timed move or a delayed reaction can allow enemies to slip past the defenses, immediately raising the tension of each encounter. The simplicity of the control scheme means the game is easy to understand within minutes, but maintaining control over the battlefield becomes increasingly difficult as enemy numbers increase and their movement patterns become more unpredictable. Progression through the game is structured around a campaign consisting of multiple levels, each introducing greater challenges than the last. Early stages act as a tutorial, familiarizing players with the mechanics of cannon placement and enemy elimination. As the campaign advances, however, new enemy types begin to appear, including faster saboteurs and airborne units that require more careful positioning to defeat. These escalating threats force players to refine their strategies and adapt to situations where multiple enemies must be prioritized simultaneously. To support this growing difficulty, the game includes a basic upgrade system that allows players to improve their defensive capabilities. Successful missions reward players with medals and experience points that can be used to enhance their cannons. Upgrades may increase firepower, improve firing speed, or provide other advantages that make it easier to deal with tougher enemies later in the campaign. While the progression system is relatively simple compared to more complex strategy games, it provides a satisfying sense of advancement and encourages players to revisit earlier levels to earn additional rewards. One of the more interesting aspects of the game is how it balances its arcade-style pacing with light strategic planning. Because the number of cannon slots is limited, players must constantly evaluate which threats are the most dangerous and allocate their defenses accordingly. This creates moments where the battlefield becomes a hectic puzzle of timing and positioning, particularly during later stages when enemy waves arrive more rapidly. The tension created by these scenarios can be engaging, especially for players who enjoy reaction-based defense games. Visually, Cannons-Defenders: Steam Edition uses a simple 2D presentation that prioritizes clarity over graphical spectacle. Enemy units, cannons, and explosions are rendered with straightforward designs that ensure players can easily identify what is happening on screen. The backgrounds and environments are fairly minimal, consisting mostly of static landscapes that provide context without distracting from the gameplay. While the graphics are not particularly detailed or visually striking, they serve their functional purpose well by keeping the action readable during fast-paced moments. The audio design follows a similar approach, featuring basic sound effects for cannon fire, explosions, and enemy eliminations. These sounds provide useful feedback during gameplay, helping players recognize when their defenses are working effectively. The background music remains subtle and unobtrusive, acting primarily as a backdrop for the action rather than a defining feature of the experience. Although the soundscape lacks the polish of larger productions, it contributes enough atmosphere to support the game’s defensive theme. Despite its accessible mechanics and occasionally engaging moments of tension, the game does show its limitations over time. The relatively small number of enemy types and environments can make the experience feel repetitive during longer play sessions. Because the core gameplay loop remains largely unchanged from level to level, players may begin to notice patterns in enemy behavior that reduce the sense of unpredictability. Additionally, the drag-and-drop controls for repositioning cannons can sometimes feel slightly imprecise, particularly when players are attempting to move defenses quickly during hectic moments. Even with these shortcomings, Cannons-Defenders: Steam Edition succeeds in delivering a focused and easy-to-understand defense experience. It does not attempt to compete with larger tower defense titles that feature expansive maps, deep upgrade trees, or elaborate storytelling. Instead, it offers a compact arcade-style challenge built around a single mechanic and explores that idea through a short campaign of increasingly difficult encounters. For players who appreciate minimalist strategy games and quick gameplay sessions, the title can provide an entertaining diversion that fits comfortably into short bursts of play. In the end, Cannons-Defenders: Steam Edition feels like a modest but sincere indie project that prioritizes gameplay accessibility over complexity. Its combination of reaction-based defense mechanics and light progression systems creates moments of satisfying tension, even if the overall scope remains limited. While it may not leave a lasting impression among the many tower defense games available on Steam, it can still offer a brief and enjoyable challenge for players looking for a simple strategic experience.
