absolute cinema story feels like a playable movie
Over 15 years later, Call of Duty: Black Ops remains the greatest single player Call of Duty experience in the entire franchise, rivaled only by its predecessor and Infinity Ward's best (Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2) This game's multiplayer was the one that tried to kill quickscoping, in which it only made players want to do it more to get around the limitations of the game. An entirely new skill gap was created. The gunplay had evolved from previous titles, albeit more clunky and crude natured, it was fitting to the games design. The map choice was polished, with very few maps being disliked by the playerbase. The new game modes were welcomed as well. The multiplayer was otherwise a great entry in the franchise, but not the best. Zombies.. If not for WaW, this game would be the best start to the beloved gamemode that kept many including myself playing for so many hours. The developers were very daring and took risks when designing some of the zombies maps, and it made for very different experiences across each of them. They are not perfect, but they do all offer a different spin to the experience. The approach to this games zombie maps would help blueprint the 2 greatest zombies entries in the entire franchise, Black Ops 2 & 3. The developers would take even more risk in BO2, with things like Tranzit, even if it did not end up paying off.
