This game is borderline unplayable. I get an average of 300 FPS on 1440p via the "optimized video" configuration, but constant 1% lows of 10-20 FPS. I'm genuinely shocked they managed to optimize this game for consoles when this is how it plays on modern desktop hardware. The game and story are absolutely amazing, but I don't recommend buying it on Steam. It's best played on a console to avoid these performance issues. ---- I decided to try again, but I can now say with 100% certainty that this is the worst desktop port of any game I have ever played. It's genuinely pathetic that this came from a multi-billion dollar AAA game studio over 12 years ago and still has zero fixes. If it were possible, I would not only want to be refunded my $20, but also the years worth of time I spent waiting for this game to drop from its obscene price of $60.

i played this on release on xbox, was fantastic. decided to get it for the summer sale and relive some old cod campaigns. man, i dont understand how a 12 year old game runs this bad. ive literally played OLDER games that run better. i think i will go back to not buying CODs agian. cuz sheesh.
