Innsmouth feels genuinely oppressive, mysterious, and unsettling, and the sense of dread never really goes away. Instead of relying on cheap jump scares, the game builds tension through its world, sound design, and storytelling. You constantly feel like something is wrong, and that's exactly what makes it so unforgettable. The story is one of the best Lovecraft adaptations ever made. It captures the feeling of cosmic horror perfectly, slowly revealing terrifying truths that kept me hooked from beginning to end. The famous hotel escape sequence alone is worth experiencing, it's one of the most intense moments in gaming history. I also loved that combat isn't the main focus. You're vulnerable, your character can panic, and sometimes the smartest option is simply to run. It makes every encounter feel meaningful and keeps the tension high throughout the adventure. Yes, the game shows its age, and it has a few technical rough edges, but none of that took away from what makes it special. Its atmosphere, storytelling, world-building, and unforgettable moments easily outweigh its flaws. This is a true cult classic and, in my opinion, one of the greatest horror games ever made! Possivelmente uma das melhores adaptações do universo de HP Lovecraft... O único problema, que é bizarramente bugado e mal programado, ao ponto de obrigar o jogador a baixar um patch de fã para tentar consertar o jogo e mesmo assim tem chance de não funcionar, como é o meu caso. Infelizmente não vou ter o privilégio de zerar, já que em determinada parte as alavancas simplesmente não abaixam, me impedindo de prosseguir. Se não fosse por isso, esse game seria facilmente 9/10

Call of Cthulhu®: Dark Corners of the Earth It starts very well with the mystery and the small horror and gore here and there since the beginner until the Town Insmouth . An bad Chapter of the game is the "Refinery" this one doesn't suit well with the theme of "Horror" this one its like a daylight with horror doesn't make sense. The Detective Walker doesn't know how to run from the danger, poor thing , in the final stage when you are escaping from the collapsing cave instead you running from your life , no , you just simple walk , that is nuts. I think Detective Walker should stay on the cave because his gonna die in the end by his own hands. A Remake of this game would be a big Blaster.

I spent 16 hours finishing this game, it has too many bugs! but it is a cool cthulhu game. In the end fight, i use 1280 x 800 resolution to hit the lever, and its worked. In final run, i use 800 x 600 - 59 hertz resolution to escape the big rock. Hope this is useful to everyone

after 20 years i start this game again and try to complete it this time Started from May 1st, 2026 this game was finally completed on May. 9th, 2026. It's the best cthulhu game! Wish HP Lovecraft's cthulhu trilogy could be developed into games ASAP or at least remake this game soon.

Genuinely just a great action horror experience, if you play with the appropriate bug patches. The atmosphere in this game is unmatched, it nails ever single thing it tried to. It's tense, it's creepy, and it taps into what can make lovecraftian horror so good extremely well. go play it.
