One of the best free games
Burning Daylight immerses us in a cyberpunk future where humanity no longer looks at the sky but at the screen of an augmented reality helmet. More than a game of dialogue or explanations, it’s a visual tale. Scenes, frames, atmospheres, everything is crafted with a somber beauty that makes it nice. The ending, open to interpretation, feels pretty confusing. In gameplay, it recalls Limbo or Inside, but in 3D. Short, intense, direct: you can finish it in barely an hour, yet the aesthetic experience lingers in your mind far longer. It’s not a game of action or long hours. It’s a fragment, a spark. Burning Daylight is worth it for its captivating world and it's impeccable aesthetics.

Full of small touches that tell a bigger story without a single word. The design feels rough in a way that suits the world and gives it character. The atmosphere carries the experience, pulling you into a place that feels both strange and familiar.
I want more, more set in this universe, more with these characters. All the graffiti art, the neon lights, the strange sci-fi cyberpunky world without any explanation. What a great time exploring this, but ... I want more!
This game is a mix of two things I love; environmental storytelling and the dystopian genre, so I might be biased. Beautiful environment design. You can't help but be in awe at each stage change. The layout, the camera placement, even the subtle movements of objects or people in the foreground added so much immersion. Watching the color palette gradually morph from one to the other each stage was also amazing; a detail I loved very much. I felt so much like a kid in a museum. I'd LOVE to play a longer game in this world.
Little dystopian 2.5D adventure. Some really cool set pieces and visuals. It's pretty enjoyable, for what it is.
This game is really good. I honestly think that if it were longer, and maybe had a little bit more actual gameplay, this could easily be a paid game. It looks FANTASTIC. The lighting effects really add a ton to what already looks great. The game plays very simply, move around and interact with things occasionally, that's it. More or less a 2D/3D walking simulator. Zero stress, just play and experience the game. The story is great, and I can't really say too much without spoiling things, but it almost reminded me of some sort of prequel to the movie 9, and it definitely has the same sort of vibe that the movie has. One thing that I should probably mention: there is a bit of adult content in the game. You start the game naked, and don't get clothes for a while... and then it's only a SHIRT. Exposed genitaila for half of the game, just hanging in the breeze. There were a few other things as well, so just be warned. There's nothing crazy, but it's there. If you have 30-45 minutes, you should check this one out. I'm a little bit sad that I didn't play this for so long. Don't be like me.
I know it is a project of students, but while playing i want to take a look at the game itself. And while playing it i couldnt shake the feeling that i was rather uninspired. It looks like a copy of "Inside", which wouldnt be that bad but all in all it felt pretty much uninspired and rather stale to me. It looks very good, and i pretty much understand the world but it didnt really feel nice playing it. Its FREE but i cant really recommend it.
Not worth the time downloading and playing it. Just look up a playthrough.
a solid dystopian technophobic take on our future, and a nice follow-up to Inside with great cinematic direction.
