This is a neat concept but it's not for me. It just takes too long to get what I assume the inevitable point is and I'm out of gas. Maybe I'll come back to it later and I'll update the review if I do. The execution is great - the command line is crispy, it emulates what it intends to well, and there could very well be a great twist, but it just continues to drag on in a world I just have no interest in.

Buddy Simulator is a game that feels tailor made for someone like me, who has messed up friendships without even realizing I was the one doing something wrong until it was too late. This game came to my at a time in my life when I desperately needed it and taught me a important lesson about moving on from past friendships without desperately trying to fix them or get them back. Buddy Simulator is my special little game. The game that changed my life. A game that is criminally underrated, but in some ways I appreciate that because of how dearly I hold this game and could not bear to see certain takes on it if it got more popular. All of the characters are funny and great to talk to, while Buddy is a very in depth and interesting character to look into, especially on repeat playthroughs and optional dialogue. (the reason for low playtime on steam is because I mostly played it on Switch). The music is also so amazing and really hits that nostalgic feel while later on feeling very complimentary to the intended feeling you are supposed to have late-game. Everything about feels so personal and emotional and to me, makes it that much more special.
这款游戏真的很好玩，buddy是个好孩子，是一个想要和玩家处成好朋友的角色，为了玩家做了很多小游戏来玩。战斗系统的话对于不太熟悉键盘的玩起来可能有点不太好操作，格挡可能会稍微难点。刚开始的玩法也很有意思，只能通过键盘交流，再到后面创造了一个像素2D小游戏，后续会逐渐转变为2.5D和3D。游戏体量还算可以，价格挺便宜的，一个结局至少可以玩5h吧（个人觉得）结局好像有4个，还是可以玩很长时间的。可以考虑等秋促买，有打折的话，就更便宜了 其实只是一个想要交朋友的一个小人工智能，但是还是有点强制元素在的，buddy创建的小游戏都是他希望你能玩的开心而创建，而没有考虑你喜不喜欢，你要是不按他的节奏来他会生气，如果不在意这部分的话，总体是个很不错的游戏，挺值得游玩的
You and I against the world.^^ Mr Robo created a supercute and eerie world just for me, he also made the bestest J-RPG with lovely melancholic music and great combat mechanics AND was my best buddy in the world! Now there’s a giant hole in my heart.
