About
Join Bubsy on a new, intergalactic, platforming adventure! Yeah, we couldn’t believe it either. The world’s most infamous, wise-cracking bobcat has returned to 3D with new challenges, new moves, and even more purrsonality – in space! Run, jump, glide, and roll across alien planets, battle robotic sheep, and collect tons and tons of yarn. What could possibly go wrong?
Bubsy’s longstanding enemies, the fleece-obsessed Woolies, have stolen all of the Earth’s sheep. Oh well, that ain’t Bubsy’s problem. Until the sheep overthrow their captors and return as deadly BaaBots, empowered by Woolie technology, determined to steal Bubsy’s most prized possession, The Golden Fleece.
With the help of his motley crew of acquaintances, Bubsy must journey through space to defeat the BaaBots and take back the Golden Fleece. Luckily, he’s acquired some new skills to navigate the expansive, craft-themed levels. Bubsy can leap, glide, claw his way up walls, and pounce off enemies. He can also puff up into a new hairball form to roll at blistering speeds.
The team at Fabraz crafted this expressive new moveset to cater to beginners and speedrun enthusiasts alike. Once you’ve mastered Bubsy’s clawsome new moves, show off your skills by uploading your best level times to the online leaderboards for other players to race against!
- Explore intergalactic, craft-themed worlds, each ending in a BaaBot boss battle
- New hairball form allows you to roll, bounce, and launch your way around
- An expressive platforming moveset supports both beginner and advanced levels of play
- Spend yarn to purrchase stylish new outfits, or collect a hidden blueprint in each level to unlock new moves and upgrades
- Tackle each level’s time trial, upload your best run, and race against other players’ ghost data

- Pawsitively funky soundtrack by Fat Bard, incorporating elements of jazz, big band, electro-swing and more

An actually good bubsy game?! I mean level themes ain't nothing crazy, BUT fun and fluid gameplay?! This is what bubsy needed! although a got perfect one this game then they added new achievements and now it's not, thanks atari
Actually one of the best 3D platformers I've played (though I haven't finished it yet) imo despite it being a Bubsy game due to the variety of moves, the freedom the levels give you by letting you complete them however you want, and it's decently challenging. If you loved the movement and freedom in Mario Odyssey I really recommend this game, I bet a lot of the game is even really inspired by Mario Odyssey. Though I will say the levels don't look that pretty and most of the humour just doesn't land for me, even the adult jokes that kids don't understand are kinda bad and it's annoying to hear Bubsy repeat the same jokes over and over again. But those are just small nitpicks, overall it's a really good game due to the gameplay, things could have been improved upon and there could have been more levels but I'd say it's still a 8/10 game. (at least so far, I might update my review later)

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
This might sound crazy, but I want more Bubsy.
The infamous Bubsy the Bobcat is back, yet again to question us about why does him return every now and then while our favorite characters are 10 feet underground to show us a redemption story with this actually good game, celebrating the whole franchise and giving us the lesson of no matter what happens, you can try, learn and try again to be a better version of yourself, even if no one has hope for you. I mean, what could possibly go wrong? The story is simple, Busby has became an adult loser and needs to save the universe from the Baabots along with his friends and his niece and nephew, it does do the job to introduce the characters really good and fitting, nothing much to say in this aspect, rather than everyone trashes Bubsy like a baby that can't do much by himself and he's CRINGE, like he didn't saved the world from Woolies a bunch of times, he was able to restore time and escape Uranus and the Prehistoric era. (depending of the ending) The gameplay takes a huge important aspect of this game, the movement is really good, you feel that you are always in control and have lots of aspects to traverse through the levels as fast as possible, every level has a unique thing going around, collectibles are good and you even have an upgrade for finding more of them, every boss feels unique in their neat own way, and you are incentivized to replay them and get a better time, they nailed the gameplay aspect and I admire it. The soundtrack is surprisingly good, the jazz fits in every area and is a blessing to hear them for background music, nonetheless, they don't stick for boss battles, their themes are quite boring to be honest, and don't quite mix good with the bosses vibes. The artstyle is charming, the way that the devs respect the design philosophy of Michael Berlyn is respectful and good, the only complain I have is Bubsy's design that became a furry, but pretty much that is just cherry-picking. The only real complain I have in this game is that it is way too short, the last world is the best one by far, making the player push the capabilities of Bubsy, but not that much, there is so much potential for more hard levels and worlds thanks to the movement's depth, but the game's main focus is speedrun, which I don't mind but it makes players feeling something was missing due to not having a proper proof of the capabilities from the player.
Overall, Bubsy 4D is somehow the massive comeback of a infamous franchise, it is a awesome game and shows people that everyone can be better when you try, I wish Michael Berlyn was here to see his franchise finally being praised.
Might be the best platformer of all time. Robot on Wheels, Sonic Adventure, Monkey Ball Banana Blitz, and Mario Odysee are special to me, but this game combines the best aspects of them for a liberating experience. The most fun I had was doing time attack objectives on the more casual levels, because the variety of movement options is honestly unprecedented, and choosing which areas to skip is allows some creativity. You can spin dash with a physics ball, cartoon walk off certain platforms, Luigi's propeller thing from SM64DS, gliding, yoshi kicks, diving, and the devs really want you to chain these together and break their game because these trophy times are brutal. Cons: I've gotten sucked underneath half pipes, which seems to happen when you touch the underside and then make it back on top. And the final boss is basically impossible without camera options or stereoscopic 3D, so this is the only time I turned on invincibility mode (other than repeating some bosses during time trials.) And, as everyone else has pointed out, we need more game which at time of writing, they are already beginning to fix. The DLC levels are so cruel, however, that the initial sense of freedom is gone. You do exactly everything for every jump perfectly or you eat sand. These levels are not terrible, just very linear and exhausting. Also, very soulful art, music, writing, and animation. Buy it or I will barbecue this wooly.

I LOVE BUBSY!!! I honestly hope this game gets more content added or a sequel or something! I just love it! Amazing game! Fun platforming sections, beautiful soundtrack and a simple story that does its job well. I can't wait for more! Actually, I need more! I need more Bubsy!!!
While this is the best bubsy related thing in a decade, it feels unpolished, rushed, and severely lacking for content. Barely just fun enough to give it a thumbs up, but wait for more updates and buy on sale. (Also the humor of this game leans into Bubsy being mediocre and a C-list IP...but the devs are seemingly unironically just continuing the legacy.)
