This game has sat in my steam backlog for over 10 years, but man am i glad i finally played it. Rarely has a game so effectively told it's story using only visuals and gameplay. Controlling the two brothers with different sides of the controllers allows the game to explore their trust and bond through gameplay in a very unique way. The European fairytale setting is gorgeously brough to life and each the puzzles are fun and intuitive. An absolutely amazing game that you have no excuse not to play at only about 3 hours. P.S. This game made me cry.

I played this game as a solo experience, so this review will be solely based on that. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is a short game about two brothers embarking on a journey for a miracle remedy for their sick father. Nothing too grand, right? I would agree. The story itself is something that has probably been seen multiple times in media, but the execution, along with the beautiful scenery and great music, made the ride enjoyable. Now, about the gameplay: it’s very average and can actually be annoying, as it forces you to play with a controller, which if you’re not used to it like me can be challenging. I also had to keep my fingers on the triggers for so long that, at some point, I had to rest my hands. The puzzles and overall experience, on the other hand, were very enjoyable despite their simplicity. In conclusion, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons offers a touching and memorable adventure that I would recommend to anyone looking for a short, emotional experience.

ややおすすめ。見下ろし型アクションパズル。コントローラー専用で、左右のスティックの動作がそれぞれ兄と弟に対応しており、同時に二人のキャラクターを操作しながら進むという意欲的な作品。左側のスティックで画面右側のキャラを動かし、右側のスティックで左側を……のようなややこしい事態になりやすいのが欠点だが、一方でうまくアクションを決められたときには他のゲームでは満たされない類の爽快感がある。[b]LTとRTを押しっぱなしにするシーンが長いので、トリガーボタンを弱い力でも押しやすいコントローラーを使うことを推奨する。[/b]システムは斬新だがストーリーは圧縮すると短い話なため、ドラマチックアドベンチャーを期待していると肩透かしを食らうかもしれない。短めの変わり種アクションパズルゲームくらいのつもりで遊ぶとストーリー含めて期待を損なわずに楽しめる。実績のコンプリートは比較的楽で、ガイドを見ながら進めば詰まる部分はなく、一度クリアすれば特定のチャプターからゲームスタートもできる親切設計。日本語化あり、かつ言語力不要。

혼자서 두 개의 케릭터를 조종한다는 것이 신선하고 재미있었습니다. 그러나, 이 게임은 스토리가 가장 큰 매력으로 전달력이 뛰어나서 한동안 기억났습니다. 플레이 시간도 짧아서 부담없이 해 볼수 있습니다. 아주 강력 추천하고 싶은 작품입니다.

文句の付け所がないほど素晴らしいアクションアドベンチャー。 冒険へ出る理由も、操作が二人なのも、セリフが一切必要なく1分で把握できるほど明快。 操作感はシンプルかつ爽快で、謎解きも戦闘も楽しさ満点。 難易度はじわじわ上がるので詰むことはなく、ちょうどよい歯ごたえ。 素朴な田舎から旅立ったと思ったら、唐突に神話生物の生息する世界であることに気づく。 そんな世界の不気味さとアクションスペクタクルのバランスが絶妙。 トラウマを振り切るラストは涙なしにプレイできない…！！
