Reviews
Very short, so short that you can finish the game and refund it easily. its not worth the price, and it seems there is a remake version. I finished this game in 2017, and i cant recall a single thing memorable about it, the only thing i remember is that
one of the brothers started simping for spider girl monster, which resulted in his death.
Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons might just be one of the most magical experiences I've ever had. The worldbuilding is subtle and well-accomplished, leaning towards showing you the world rather than telling you. From the music, to its aesthetics, this story is one of love and resilience, whimsy and moments of wonder; and while the dual-controlling of the brothers might take some getting used to, but by the very end it will drive you to tears. A masterpiece.
Played it cause it was a random game I had in my library. Not sure if I got it through a free game day or a bundle. But decided to try and get 100% achievements across random short indie games I randomly have in my library. I see the appeal though its not really for me. Some parts of the game irritated the living daylights out of me like the extremely slow cranking that felt like it took for-ever! I enjoyed certain interactions. It sort of reminded me of some older games I use to like but it felt very bare bones. Like one interaction per smaller sections in a chapter with touching moments. The "emotions and cinematics" barely had enough to have me interested in the story or the character. But I fully understand where others like it. Its not for me but will still say yes because I see where it was trying to go
I quite love this game—I've played it a couple of times now (alongside different people who also enjoyed it). It is a very heartfelt, beautifully designed game. It is also very unique. The main gimmick is of course controlling the two characters with different analog sticks, but the level designs continuously expand on this central idea of single-player cooperation, and the game is short enough to not overstay its welcome.
Lovely game. Creative use of the controls and a charming little story. Great way to spend an evening!
