"Tiny first person metroidvania" should probably explain itself.
Bon jeu mais trop court.

Short, clever and easy little puzzle game which i enjoyed. It takes around 20-30min to finish this game but if you want to get the achievement it will take some time to figure out where the secrets are hidden. You are starting without any abilities so you are able only to walk until you will find the perk for jumping... for shooting and so on. The game doenst save your progress so you have to finish it in one go, but once you have finished it you can return to the game and search around for the secrets with all abilities unlocked.
Boxlife is a short and relaxing game in which you gradually gain abilities and find secrets, abilities and spheres. There isn't really a story, but slight spoilers ahead as I explain the mechanics: the spheres can be used to open a portal, walking through it finishes the game. There are several abilities, which you need to unlock in the right order. This part was a little confusing to me: one of the abilities that's really easy to find, doesn't activate until you've activated other abilities first. If you look for 'glitches' and explore a bit, you can find most hidden things pretty easily. The mechanic of activating things or going back to them in the right order also comes back later on in the game. In the end, I used the guide to find three of the secrets after unlocking all abilities and activating the portal, but it's pretty intuitive and if you're willing to look a little longer, I'm sure you can find them by yourself. You have to do it all in one sitting though, it doesn't save/have a save option as far as I could find. The controls are mouse and keyboard, keybindings can be changed. It was pretty weird to play from a first-person point of view but not have a body to look down at, just empty space. It made me pretty unsure of how I was positioned sometimes. Works well on Linux (ubuntu 16.04). All in all, given the price, I can recommend this game.
boxlife is quite different. It's like a walking simulator, parkour, puzzle platformer, if I were to describe it. And well, it makes for a unique and fun experience, genuinely. I had a great time exploring and discovering things. The graphics are barebones, nothing to write home about, but the gameplay is what makes it stand out. As you play, you gather new abilities. The first thing I noticed when I started playing was there wasn't any way to jump and well, I found that odd. Only later did I realize jumping wasn't some privilege that we're just given, it had to be earned and that was something I found rather fun to learn. Overall, I definitely suggest boxlife, it's simple and gets the job done without being overly complex or confusing.
有意思的小游戏 可以玩
Short and sweet. Took me a little over an hour and 20 minutes to finish it with all the secrets found. We need more first person metroidvanias.
🥉Um jogo simples de exploração
Bem curto, da para fazer 100% em meia hora. Eu achei legal. Nenhum tutorial. Você vai descobrindo o jogo (que é bem simples) e procurando os power ups e segredos Em promoção vale a pena
Boxlife felt like a bad platformer that someone thought up and gave up on in the same sitting. Controls are wonky and the whole game takes place in the same room/level area. You wander around aimlessly until you find power ups that allow you to progress by backtracking for the next power up until you finish. The game is quick and short to complete, and leaves you feeling like any other game would have been a better use of time.
