Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.71/day in the week to Jul 30 → 5.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
I would definitely recommend the original vanilla base game, but the GOTY Enhanced Edition adds a lot of issues, from memory leaks to graphical problems, crashes, and soft locks. The game itself is great overall. The artsytle, enemy and level designs are genius, especially in the early and late stages of the game. Around "the middle of nowhere" the level design unfortunately becomes stale and more of a nuisance due to confusing and repetitive layouts and boring level designs, where some end up just being one long corridor. This makes backtracking especially frustrating, also because you can’t track multiple quests at once. The different weapons are all fun, and it never really gets stale to switch and try new ones. There are many viable builds and playstyles. The characters, writing, and story are interesting, and I especially love the atmosphere and world building, it is more grimy and gritty while not taking itself too seriously. I feel like the sequels miss the mark here, trying to be more edgy and humorous, which backfires. Some characters like Claptrap became extremely obnoxious and unbearable in the second game, whereas I actually had some sympathy for him in the first. I am always critical towards the practice and additon of DLC content in games and I also felt like it wasn't really necessary for this game. Claptrap's revolution and Dr. Ned Zombie Island was alright, nothing that I'd get out of my way to recommend but nothing I majorly disliked aswell, while Mad Moxxi's Underdome was utter garbage and General Knoxx Secret Armory majorly wasn't fun to play through. All in all, I definitely recommend the original base game. The standard GOTY edition also seems fine and playable, but I wouldn’t recommend most of the DLCs, and I definitely wouldn’t go out of my way to get the Enhanced version, since it adds more issues and headaches, than actual content. They also didn't do themselves no favour with the changes in terms of service almost two decades after the relase... Original base game: 9.4/10 recommended GOTY edition: -/- didn't play GOTY Enhanced: 6/10 not recommended

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 19: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Great game. Shame they went into a different direction with BL2.
I went into this expecting a rough-around-the-edges classic from 2009. What you get instead feels like someone's school project that somehow got sold as a full game. Yes, I get it - it’s old. But age doesn’t excuse awful design, and this game is packed with it. Graphics have been fixed up, plastered like makeup, it doesn't look that much worse than BL2. The core gameplay loop is painfully repetitive: go there, pick this up, bring it back. That’s it. The entire game is basically a long chain of crap fetch quests pretending to be content. People say “the side quests are just like the main quests” - that’s not a compliment when both are equally repetitive, shallow and tedious. Scaling is straight-up broken. If you try to stick to main quests, you’ll quickly find yourself underleveled and doing pathetic damage and getting one tapped in return. So what are you forced to do? Grind the same awful side quests just to be able to play comfortably. It’s artificial padding, nothing more. The “story” barely exists. Dialogue basically doesn't exist and is poorly delivered, and the so-called humor feels like it’s written for 12-year-olds who think random = funny, classic for BL but just feels stupid here especially. If this game has a narrative, it does a great job hiding it. Mechanically, it doesn’t help itself either. Movement across the map is a chore, fast travel is clunky, and the game constantly wastes your time by making you backtrack entire zones BY FOOT just to clean up newly unlocked quests. It’s not immersive - it’s exhausting. The "DLCs" somehow manage to feel even worse. They genuinely feel like workshop content that someone just getting into it, made in their lunch break On top of everything, the “Enhanced GOTY” version is anything but. Performance issues, instability, and crashes are still very much present, notoriously. For something that’s supposed to be updated, it’s surprisingly unpolished. There is some weapon variety, but most of it feels useless, so even that highlight falls flat. Overall, this was a huge disappointment. I expected a dated game with charm - instead I got a tedious, poorly designed grind with almost no redeeming qualities. Score: 3.5/10 (and that’s being generous).

the game that started my gaming life back in 2012
absolute banger. I would make my future children play this its so good. had low expectations then met witha masterpiece. Great introduction to the fanchise!!!!!
Greedy Devs removed LAN just incase anyway wanted to pirate the game, even though previous entries required you to be logged into SHIFT to access LAN anyway. Which wouldn't be terrible except this game has some of the worst lag in multiplayer I've ever seen, even when playing with someone in the same room on high speed internet.
