Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews
I always liked BL. They felt naturally stupid. And still funny and entertaining. Cool way to run over and over and looting better gear while destroying everything, with simple cartoonish graphics. Somehow BL4 lacks everything. I didnt enjoyed, didnt even finished main story. worst bl imo.
无聊的通马桶,特别是这支线,这是2025年能做出来的支线啊???无任何人物塑造,又臭又长,和最终幻想坐一桌,今年玩过最无聊的游戏

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 20: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 316.29/day in the week to Sep 15 → 102.83/day in the week after.
Of the 12 markets with a position on both sides, 5 climbed and 3 fell. The same sale, the same day, opposite directions — which is why nothing here is averaged into a single arrow, and why one sale is not a trend.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 47/day in the week to Sep 11 → 340.86/day in the week after.
One market had a chart position on both sides of this cut. One sale in one country is an anecdote — read it next to the store-wide figures below.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 41.86/day in the week to Jul 31 → 47.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

TLDR: Game is in a healthy state. Overall good, with a few caveats that really do not take away much from the experience. Game itself absolutely does not deserve a 50% positive on Steam. Spoiler free review below: Optimization - tried it in a high-end laptop and a mid-range computer (RTX 4070). Framerate was perfect in both. None of my friends report any stuttering in neither of their builds. The difference between max settings and mid settings is arguably small; most players wouldn't be able to tell the difference in two screenshots. Having drivers updated made a huge difference when trying to load the game. Gunplay and movement - best of the series, no contest. Feels like the perfect blend between BL, DOOM Eternal platforming, and Halo Infinite grappling hook. The movement is incredibly responsive. This alone makes a playthrough worth it. Characters and builds - best of the series as well. Characters feel fun, designs are great. And the skill tree is leagues ahead anything we've seen in the series; the combinations are endless. Story and villain - It is not BL2 levels of good, but neither BL3 levels of bad. Feels short and not too ambitious, but it is functional. The characters are forgettable so far. World design - open world was a fun experiment, but it is very easy to tell that the BL formula does not work well with the open world. Outposts are hard to tell apart because of the same few biomes and enemy types, and vehicle time is unfortunately not met with random encounters like in previous games, making it clear downtime/padding. BL2 gave us frozen biomes, wastelands, wild west, Hyperion, life reserve, industrial... In BL3 just compare Eden 6, Promethea and Athena. Here the world design feels like too much was sacrified for the shake of the open world. It is NOT a bad open world, and it is easy to tell developers spent a good amount of time trying their best to make each section feel unique. But there is so much you can do with the assets and lightning in two neighbouring areas without creating a jarring transition. Variety is lacking, I hope for a regression back to the previous formula in future titles. This open world trend needs to stop, it's killing game/franchise indentity. Sidequests and collectibles - it feels like there is a lot to do, there are many collectibles which require different tasks to collect. World events are a nice addition, but even without grinding I quickly found repeated bosses in world events, which makes the boss pool feel limited. Tone and humour - Feels like Borderlands. This comes from someone that muted BL3 character voices mid playthrough. BL3 was worse and failed at being funny, at all, even if it tried so hard. But this feels back to form. People saying that this is not funny should consider that BL2 came out 14 years ago and maybe their sense of humour is not the same anymore. To me, this game has the same campy humour than BL1 and 2, and some of the jokes land pretty well. Difficulty - played in hard, most of the game I feel like I am steam rolling through enemies. There are a few harder events, but I would say that the game feels a little too easy. Itemization and drops - weapons feel incredibly different. Legendaries are rare, and you can tell they are legendaries by how funky they are. Itemization and drop rates are overall fantastic. Inventory - awful. Easily one of the worst things in the game. Bosses - a step down from BL3. BL3 had pretty cool bossfights, especially against the chambers monsters. The bosses I've encountered so far feel very samey, with some honorable exceptions. Veredict - I've read about the controversies and the jackass CEO, but the game absolutely deserves a higher review score than 50% on Steam. To me it is top 2 in the franchise, and would easily be top 1 with a stronger story and more map variety. The moment-to-moment gameplay really is THAT good. My rating would be a 7.5/10 - close to being pretty good, lacking in some key aspects, but still good nonetheless. Steam reviews are weird. I've played wackass games that have +95% reviews. This game had problems at launch, but right now sits at what I would expect to be a 90-92%.
Impossible de lancer le jeu, ca plante a chaque compilation des shaders
deleted all my data of the map after 56 hours because the save of the settings got corrupted, still got my characters but I am not going to unlock all the map again!!!!!!!1!!1
got a whole new pc and the game still barely runs. this game sucks
does this game have some stutters? yes is it as bad as other steam reviews suggest it is? no best feeling borderlands game now only if the dlc was the same quality as the bl3 dlcs
da gospod!
Borderlands 3, also known as "Compiling Shaders: The Game"
While it's less obnoxious and grating than three, and has fewer of the Mike Meyers-level attempts at non-American accents, it's still pretty dreary fare. Performance is mediocre, leaning heavily on upscaling and framegen, even on powerful machines. The actual game itself seems uninspired, throwing endless increasingly spongey trash mobs at you in huge numbers rather than doing anything distinct. Fiddly jumping puzzle? Here's a load of rubbish flying trash constantly battering into you. One of the endless lazy fetch quests? You're going to have to kill a lot of the same boring crap you've seen a thousand times before to get to Claptrap's left buttcheek or whatever you're after now. None of them will be fun or interesting to fight, it will just scale how much effort they take to kill. It feels like variety is not this game's strong suit. Oh yes, Claptrap. Extremely grating, both the writing and the voicework feel like not the original people. It's so annoying that there's a dedicated volume slider to shut him up. Enough said. It very much feels like the B-team were responsible for this. Even the famous generated Lego weapons are now an indistinct mass, due to the weird manufacturer mixing taking away their distinct identifies, much like the way that mixing plasticine too much always comes out poo brown. The effect of the famous cell-shaded graphics has been ruined by making many of the environments and their contents far too visually cluttered, so it just looks generic. It's like the current teams working on this don't really understand the game - which is probably the case, given the treadmill hire and fire in games now. The upsides? As mentioned before, it's less obnoxious than BL3. Gone is the "hello fellow kids" edgelord dudebro cringe "humour" - this is extremely welcome. Now it's just a bit dull rather than life-threateningly awful. The game REALLY needs dialogue skipping though, as literally none of it is consequential or worth listening to. CDPR these people are not. It's quite buggy, especially during the (overpriced and skimpy) DLCs. Lots of mobs t-pose when killed, making it hard to see what's going on. Anything which triggers after you clear an area becomes a time-consuming slog because mobs fail to path around or clip into the scenery, so it takes ages and lots of fiddling to find and kill them. I'm not sure that I recommend this game, having put far too many hours into it, trying to find the fun. If you do buy it, absolutely do not pay full price, wait for deep discounts. I bought it out of morbid curiousity, but it could well be the last BL game that I bother with. TL;DR - it's less obnoxious than BL3 but it's still not good. Borderlands may effectively be over now. Edit: Also, I got a "developer response" responding to the broad themes in the above within seconds of posting it, on a Sunday too - looks like Gearbox are using slop to be their Steam replyguy. Classy.
My friend told me to buy it since its on sale and i though "Borderlands is a great series maybe the newest one would also be really good" so i bought the pandoras box and this game and i started with this first, if i was a quitter and just saw absolutely horrible this game runs, crashes left and right even at the lowest settings i don't know if there loading the map or trying to install and crypto miner on my pc, and on top of that this game is so boring , there is only ONE mission i actually enjoyed everything else just feels like filler which yes maybe there was a couple missions i rushed through because i hate playing but they are time wasters ,A majority of this game was i would've definitely refunded this game in a heartbeat but you know what i didn't , I have played for hours and i find my own ways to have fun which is to get the achievements BUT i learn this game DOES NOT EVEN HAVE ALL THE ACHIEVEMENTS OUTS, Now there isn't any point to even play this game, thankfully i just bought this dumpster fire of a game and not the dlc because the reviews on those are even worse, 2k has dropped the ball and should just focus on their true passion, Sports games, which are equally bad and are just cash grabs, Please if you actually even consider playing this game just go buy borderlands 2 or better yet the pandoras box when it is on sale because this game is a big let down ,Save your money.
