14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

its just sooo lacking had so much potential, falling short is an understatement. the open world was a mistake, there is no real sense of progression, you're just marking off a checklist of thigs to do

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 20: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 316.29/day in the week to Sep 15 → 103.4/day in the week after.
Of the 12 markets with a position on both sides, 5 climbed and 3 fell. The same sale, the same day, opposite directions — which is why nothing here is averaged into a single arrow, and why one sale is not a trend.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 47/day in the week to Sep 11 → 340.86/day in the week after.
One market had a chart position on both sides of this cut. One sale in one country is an anecdote — read it next to the store-wide figures below.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 41.86/day in the week to Jul 31 → 47.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Aweful graphics. Meh story and the world is just not engaging. Not fun at all. I would never purchase another Borderlands game again.
Let's talk for real. This game sucks. It does not do the BL experience justice. This game all the NPC's for the most part you cannot talk to. Remember walking around Sanctuary I, II, III and hitting e or w/e on your controller to prompt someone to speak. Yeah you can't do that here. This makes the world fill empty while still having characters on your screen. The few characters that are brought over honestly none of that makes sense. We get a few cross over NPC's that are just hanging out on a new planet no backstory no reasoning. Just poof here we are. Where's the rest? Oh, you held Ellie hostage for the DLC. Too bad the game was so boring that I quit playing it after less than 20 hours. Calling vehicles in like mounts in WOW is meh, I honestly enjoyed the whole idea if the vehicle was destroyed you needed to trek back to the catch a ride or steal one off bandits. This is an entire element that helped make bl what it is and it's just gone. "I'd really appreciate you taking a poke at that. The catch a ride not my mom!" Scooter. None of the new vh's or main NPC's are really memorable. I seen the trailer for c4sh and it's like they realize their other vaulthunters are pretty bland but this can't be fixed with one character lol that just makes it all the more obvious. I won't beat this game up for performance as I do believe they ironed out most problems and the problems are from a rushed release. The whole game feels like they left the most important part out, the bl soul. BL3 was better even with the cringy twins. I went into this game with the hopes of, it can't get worse than the twins for bosses and cringy things. This game feels like a chore. Open world with mazes to waste your time and make the game longer. There's no way the map was made by a human. Maps have been tediously large historically in borderlands but this just feels needlessly complex trying to get from one location to the next marker. I found I constantly had to back track to get around obstacles between me and my destination with no clear way to know what path to take on the map because it had no elevations on it. So you head towards your objective and randomly there are 4 story cliffs in front of you. So you ride the edge of the cliff only to find it pushes you so far away from your objective. I commend them for trying to do an open world game. But it's only open world if it's navigable.
Game runs great, I have no issues on my rig playing at 1440p EPIC settings with DLSS set to Full Resolution. I capped my framerate at 60fps for stability but I know not everyone is able to get that. -Leveling up happens so quickly, but doesn't feel substantial when you do, which kind of was the same way in BL1 and BL2. -Marlowe as a VH has cool abilities, but their voice lines are so overly optimistic and bright that it gets annoying after hearing them speak for a period of time. -Your VH will repeat back what just happened out loud to the player during certain quests, maybe cause whats happening isn't clear or the whole 2-screen design philosophy is really going strong now-a-days. -No BGM when exploring the world making each zone feel the same in vibe. -Driving feels okay, but the weapons on the vehicles lack any punch or sound effects. -Side-quests feel weightless and none of the story lines there I'll remember in t-minus 1-day (Already forgot) -Newly introduced characters like Arjay and the guy who was handing out water and protein bars in the beginning lack depth or interest. -Weapons are cool, but the weapon type Daedalus simply switches what ammo you consume while shooting without adding much difference and other Manufacturers, while unique, are disinteresting. -Claptrap can be funny sometimes and I appreciate that he maintains the comedic relief, but when everyone else is deadly serious its not engaging to hear a quip about "warm fear running down your leg" out of nowhere from the main bad guy. I thought I was a Borderlands fan after enjoying 1 SO much, 2 became me and my friends GO TO game for co-op fun with tons of classic dialogue that we repeat to one another to this day. And BL3, while the writing got annoying with the influencer badguys, I loved the way the levels were designed, exploration was rewarding, and the Vault Hunters were so much fun to play. But BL4 here...I don't know, maybe its that I cant get past so much of the surrounding identity change that the gameplay, despite being even more refined, doesn't hold it up as I hoped it would. I tried giving BL4 a chance and all of the performance issues I heard about were non-existent, but the formula Gearbox has going at the current moment is not what I find fun. Maybe you'll like it, but I cant bring myself to keep playing. Im glad I got it on sale because looking back, I'd have paid $70 for BL2 and BL3, but not this one...BL4 is worth $35 but not any more than that.
this game makes me wanna krill myself, i'm literally only playing this because my friend has stockholm syndrome with the franchise
Still has terrible performance. Don't care for the "open world" aspect, feels awkward and tedious.
I always liked BL. They felt naturally stupid. And still funny and entertaining. Cool way to run over and over and looting better gear while destroying everything, with simple cartoonish graphics. Somehow BL4 lacks everything. I didnt enjoyed, didnt even finished main story. worst bl imo.
I mean, it was fun from what I played. Ran smoothly, gameplay felt nice, guns were, alright. Few interesting enemies from what I was able to see, but shortly after finishing the intro mission, and able to “traverse” the open world, I couldn’t play for more than 3-5 minutes without it crashing. It crashed at least 6 times in 30 minutes. Sure, my PC isn’t the most beastly, but I can play Cyberpunk 2077 on medium/high graphics and still get 60-80FPS. Would’ve loved to have BL4 to complete and have ALL borderlands games, but f**k man, optimize your game.
