14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Very disappointing, The worst of the series, boring modern AAA slop. The story and characters are just plain awful and totally forgettable. If you like modern day slop this game is for you.
this game makes me wanna krill myself, i'm literally only playing this because my friend has stockholm syndrome with the franchise

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 20: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 316.29/day in the week to Sep 15 → 103.4/day in the week after.
Of the 12 markets with a position on both sides, 5 climbed and 3 fell. The same sale, the same day, opposite directions — which is why nothing here is averaged into a single arrow, and why one sale is not a trend.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 47/day in the week to Sep 11 → 340.86/day in the week after.
One market had a chart position on both sides of this cut. One sale in one country is an anecdote — read it next to the store-wide figures below.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 41.86/day in the week to Jul 31 → 47.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Let's talk for real. This game sucks. It does not do the BL experience justice. This game all the NPC's for the most part you cannot talk to. Remember walking around Sanctuary I, II, III and hitting e or w/e on your controller to prompt someone to speak. Yeah you can't do that here. This makes the world fill empty while still having characters on your screen. The few characters that are brought over honestly none of that makes sense. We get a few cross over NPC's that are just hanging out on a new planet no backstory no reasoning. Just poof here we are. Where's the rest? Oh, you held Ellie hostage for the DLC. Too bad the game was so boring that I quit playing it after less than 20 hours. Calling vehicles in like mounts in WOW is meh, I honestly enjoyed the whole idea if the vehicle was destroyed you needed to trek back to the catch a ride or steal one off bandits. This is an entire element that helped make bl what it is and it's just gone. "I'd really appreciate you taking a poke at that. The catch a ride not my mom!" Scooter. None of the new vh's or main NPC's are really memorable. I seen the trailer for c4sh and it's like they realize their other vaulthunters are pretty bland but this can't be fixed with one character lol that just makes it all the more obvious. I won't beat this game up for performance as I do believe they ironed out most problems and the problems are from a rushed release. The whole game feels like they left the most important part out, the bl soul. BL3 was better even with the cringy twins. I went into this game with the hopes of, it can't get worse than the twins for bosses and cringy things. This game feels like a chore. Open world with mazes to waste your time and make the game longer. There's no way the map was made by a human. Maps have been tediously large historically in borderlands but this just feels needlessly complex trying to get from one location to the next marker. I found I constantly had to back track to get around obstacles between me and my destination with no clear way to know what path to take on the map because it had no elevations on it. So you head towards your objective and randomly there are 4 story cliffs in front of you. So you ride the edge of the cliff only to find it pushes you so far away from your objective. I commend them for trying to do an open world game. But it's only open world if it's navigable.
Most of the time I have played is just my computer open cause I went to work and let the shaders load, then I came back and loaded shaders. 4070 not doing to well in 1080p rn let me lower every thing and load shaders, fk did I load shaders? I meant to load shaders. Nah this setting isn't load shaders so let me LOAD SHADERS. Wow that's actually not that bad I can kinda see in front of me, other than that I hate it. You know what let me give it another chance, the load shader, so I had to load shader, now that we got that out the way lets load shader, so we can load shader. I beat the first load shader some how, okay that was pretty load shader. You find the dopiest golden load shader and it its magically delicious. </3
Still has terrible performance. Don't care for the "open world" aspect, feels awkward and tedious.
its just sooo lacking had so much potential, falling short is an understatement. the open world was a mistake, there is no real sense of progression, you're just marking off a checklist of thigs to do
I always liked BL. They felt naturally stupid. And still funny and entertaining. Cool way to run over and over and looting better gear while destroying everything, with simple cartoonish graphics. Somehow BL4 lacks everything. I didnt enjoyed, didnt even finished main story. worst bl imo.
If you don't own a DLC pack, the game won't stop playing the same dialogue over and over and over again. What a scummy thing to do.
Played the free weekend and it is exactly what people describe so far. While open-world has its charm, it is a definite downgrade from their previous well-crafted sectioned-off world areas. The main story was reasonably entertaining but all the side quests (of which there are many) feel very much like the classic mmo grind. Another review mentioned that you should not play this BL version the same way as the previous games where you can do all the quests in an area or within a storybeat before moving on with the main story, here you should just follow along with the main story and pick up a few side quests/challenges here and there because otherwise it becomes incredibly boring, and I could not agree more with that statement. Another point I did not enjoy was immediately getting 4 special ways to move around; double-jump-ledge-climbing, glide pack, target-based grappling hook, and an on-demand vehicle. While convenient to actually get around in the larger open-world, it did not actually enhance the experience at all in my opinion. the double jump had no reason behind it, not like in the pre-sequel where you have you space-suit, you can just double jump because it is neccesary to make getting around not too tedious. The glide pack and grappling hook have so little use besides some movement-puzzles that I tend to forget I even have them, only being able to use the grappling hook on pre-defined targets greatly limits its fun and use. Vehicles were always part of the Borderlands experience but they were part of the world, having to pick them up at garages, also still having to walk through non-car-designed areas. With this on-demand vehicle you never actually have to walk anywhere in the world ever again, you just zoom over to a gunfight where you either use your vehicle weapons or jump out to fight, and then you summon it right back onto the next gunfight, making it an endless loop of just zooming and shooting, making the battles incredibly boring and repetative and making the density of interesting things in the world much lower. Rant over.
