14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 23: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Of the 12 markets with a position on both sides, 5 climbed and 3 fell. The same sale, the same day, opposite directions — which is why nothing here is averaged into a single arrow, and why one sale is not a trend.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 47/day in the week to Sep 11 → 340.86/day in the week after.
One market had a chart position on both sides of this cut. One sale in one country is an anecdote — read it next to the store-wide figures below.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 41.86/day in the week to Jul 31 → 47.29/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I feel like this game is a gem locked in a glass cage I can't get into because of the performance. The gunplay feels smooth, the loot and guns just click right. The combat doesn't feel that formulaic. The skill trees are vast and offer a lot to experiment with which is glorious. Yet on the LOWEST settings the 60 / always is much less during anything but safe zones is just painful. I feel as if this game is punishing me for daring to own a 1440p monitor, especially with such a graphics card as mine. Sure I have texture size problems in some games that I account for but not entire performance droughts like this. Plus, the low settings are hard to look at. Which combined with low frames makes the game feel like a slog. It's not even that it looks like an older game, it looks bland and unfinished just for being on low settings. I just can't wrap my head around why it looks so bad but it puts me off the entire experience. The open world being so "standard" ends up making this point even worse. I can tell what I'm looking at, but I can't pick up on the details and what makes a location unique when it kind of is just different colours and shapes. Sure, its really not that bad if you look around, but when you are fighting all the time and looking for loot you don't see much other than that. Performance is slowly killing my drive to keep going. The sweet loot is keeping me hooked for now. If your PC can handle it, count yourself lucky you are still hanging on to developers not optimising and the raw power pushing you on. That's all, since I have no interest in writing all about the handling of this game as well...
After playing for 178 hours I think I can write some thoughts about the game. Generally it's very fun to play and gameplay-wise I like it. Movement is great, guns are good and it's nice to see some QoL features added like Big Encore Machines and saving collectibles from other save files. But there are a few moments that I think were poorly implemented I have a laptop below minimum requirements and it runs the game on the very minimum FHD settings, which is surprisingly nice. I've played it on a high end PC and it doesn't look that good even on badass settings at 4K resolution. I would say it's like a Borderlands 3 with better lighting. All the UE5 nanites and stuff isn't required for this game. People like the Borderlands games for gameplay and/or story. And yeah... story. We all remember that abomination of BL3 main story line and I would say they did better in this one, but still it's not good. Most of the story is lackluster. It's like: to kill the big guy you need to kill 3 other, then rekill one of them and here you are at the top of the tower. The ending is a bit weird because you just get some useless thing and then one character says "I think we got what we came for". The End. At least they didn't make the villain that obnoxious, but he appears for a few dialogues and then he's like: "Oh, you're here... let's fight". He can control people with bolts, but it seems like he's not in the mood for it) Also the world. I don't like the idea of the open world. It feels empty and useless. All locations look almost the same. The fauna consists of literally 4 animals: kratches (like rakks), manglers (like skaggs, but they are cats), creeps (like ratches or varkids) and wildhorns, which are the only one not copy-pasted from previous games. Mobs also include rippers (like bandits) and the order (like hyperion in bl2 with a few new enemies). You will see order and ripper mobs throughout the whole game, including all bounty packs. Most of the bosses are actually chunkier versions of normal mobs and are very boring. Vehicles are generic, but not bad. They just look different, but feel absolutely the same. I think implementing vehicles from BL3 with summoning them from any place would be a better idea. The last thing I want to complain about is legendaries and pearls. I love that we finally get pearls after all these years, but the first pearl I got was a world drop at level 11... And it's not my luck it's just how it is in this game. I've got like 50 world drop pearls in one playthrough. Legendaries are also common here. Not like in BL3, but still common. I would like to decrease the world drop chance of legendaries and pearls to make it feel more special. Also dedicated drop chances are broken. As far as I know the chance of dropping a dedicated legendary is 23% on UVH 7 and the chance for a dedicated pearl is 0.95%. Maybe I'm bad at math, but getting a pearl every 5-8 kills is not 0.95% (it's from Origo). Also some dedicated legendaries drop more often than others. I farmed Origo a lot and I noticed that Watts 4 Dinner drops are less common than Bottled Lightning or Kaoson. Class mod drops are also weird, because the chance of dropping a class mod not for your character on UVH 7 is 1,435% * 4 = 5,74% and for your character is 17,25%, but you get almost the same amount of both!!! One time I got three legendaries from a boss and all of them were world drops! That's it! The problems that I described are not huge problems. I still think this is a great game and I want people to remember it as such. It is possible for Borderlands 4 to be even a greater game in the future, but looking at the current set of DLC's it is hard to see that future
I bought the game. I then realised the other half of the game is locked behind DLC. Borderlands 4 is the epitome of publisher greed.
good old borderlands, still have alot of bugs but manageable
If you're not on reddit 24/7 you will enjoy the game, classic borderlands 2 humor with b3 gameplay and wonderlands builds. The open world can be hit or miss tho. People just have a hate boner for anything that isn't borderlands 2 (the only thing that stands the test of time is handsome jack, everything else falls short compared to the new games)
I feel like they have learnt the worse lessons from bl3, over corrected the annoying bad guys from bl3 to the point they have become completely forgettable in bl4, the guns have lost any kind uniqueness that made them stand out from each other. The cosmetic are so so bad and boring that collecting them is pointless, because at no point during my time play have I wanted to equip them after unlocking them. And the main point, the playable VHs are all such nothingburger characters, it seems like that they are all rejected characters from the previous games and they just dropped them in bl4 and made no effort whatsoever to give them any appel. Oh and tried to play this again 6-7 months after launch and its the same resource heavy game that it was on launch. So sad to see that this was once one of my favourite franchises in gaming.
Every year waters down Borderlands more and more until it's an unrecognizable husk. This game was substantially worse than Borderlands 3 and that speaks volumes.
If you played any of the previous versions you won't be surprised. If you're new to the franchise go start with one.
