just enjoy the game for it is, theres always going to be things you dont like about games, once you stop thinking about it and just playt the game, do the content, it becomes fun

The Game is missing what made borderlands fun. Open would is not the Play. The gun Play Good but cant carry.
This game had such potential but felt like such a waste of time. Graphically it's all I wanted from a modern borderlands, I enjoyed the combat system, I enjoyed the areas and map design, but why is every enemy a bullet sponge, and the story/characters a chore to listen to? Then with the way Gearbox/2K is attempting to nickel and dime and cash in on the IP's good name it just makes me feel terrible. I replayed every borderlands just to prepare for the launch of this game and it was NOTHING BUT A DISAPPOINTMENT. I wouldn't support this, let your wallet talk instead of the reviews.

I wish I could vote neutral on this. The game isn't bad, but it's not good either. I got it on sale for $30 and at that price, I would say it's worth it if you're a fan. My biggest problem with the game is that it just doesn't feel fun. At no point did I have any happy moments with the game. The humor is trying way too hard and it's completely lost it's Borderlands charm. Gunplay and character development could be better, but it's not...its just boring. They really were lazy on this. They could have added manufacturer specializations or something so you can evolve your guns and make them feel different. A couple time's I got a really cool alt fire on a weapon and then haven't seen it again. Why not let me spec into it? I chose Rafa as a character and I just don't like him. His dialog, much like the rest of the game, is just awful. It's trying too hard. Exploration feels a lot like a Ubisoft open world checklist. There just isn't anything in the world that make me feel excited to go see it because every area plays the exact same. I had no problems with performance, but my PC is pretty decent.
The game runs offensively bad while looking worse than Borderlands 3 which I can run at close to 200 fps. The game itself is okay although it barely feels like Borderlands at all. Unreal Engine 5 is the worst thing that has ever happened. If you have an rtx 5090 and don't mind turning your room into a sauna, and adding a few digits to your electricity bill, and you go in not expecting Borderlands but something closer to far cry, then maybe buy it at a steep discount ( I got a key for ~23€ and I regret getting it for that, maybe 15€ ).
