Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 10: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 9.71/day in the week to Jul 30 → 12.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

If you can get this game on a good sale it is still fun. Very combat focused.
I have well over 2000 hours in Borderlands 2 over all platforms and have been playing it for over a decade, and I can say that it is probably my overall favorite game every and I highly recommend it to anyone. I recently got a PC and started playing modded BL2 and it lead me to writing this review for it. Positives: BL2 has a great story main that is quite replayable, with many great NPCs with the vault hunters from borderlands 1 retuning as NPCs, and an absolutely amazing main antagonist with Handsome Jack. Handsome Jack is such a good villain and character in general, he is written great and his voice actor does an amazing job conveying Jacks emotion and really gets you invested in his character. Jack is charismatic, funny, and confident, with deep story beats and traits that make you love and hate him. The playable characters in this game do not disappoint. Each of them are very unique, not only visually but in personality and gameplay. I am sure that among the 6 different vault hunter you will find at least one that fits your playstyle. The visuals are very good. The game is older and it is supposed to be a "graphical" game in the first place, but despite that the world is still full of great quality visuals, and I personally love the cell shaded comic book look to the world. It add character and a uniqueness to the game that you don't always find, especially in modern days with game always trying to push realism and peak graphics. Some people might not like the more cartoony look, but I think it is great and fits the game perfectly. The loot is great. This is a looter shooter after all, so the most important part is the loot. There are so many guns in this game, with high end rarities of legendary, pearlescent, and seraph, the amount of different design guns is incredible. Many powerful options to choose from and they often have very interest quirks such as very specific firing patterns or other abilities. There is even many unique mission reward weapons that are some of the most powerful in the game and are staples on multiple builds. The DLCs are all great (I do actually enjoy Hammerlocks DLC, not as good as the other but still good). Each DLC offers a very different story with new interesting characters and character from the main story, a complete change of scenery, and of course new weapons and other gear pieces to farm and play with. Even the headhunter packs are good and are nice short stories. Community. The borderlands community is very lively and while the current franchise doesn't please everybody, their are still many people playing the older games such as youtubers like JoltzDude and others. The modding community is also great with new mods coming out to this day and so many more already released that overhaul weapons skill trees or do simply thing like cutscene skip for auto pick up items. If you have played the game before I highly recommend trying some mods, they can revitalize your interest in the game. Negatives: There are many positives to BL2 but there is some negatives as well. End Game Balancing. The end game balancing is fairly bad. Normal enemies and mobbing might not be terrible if you have a good build but there are many enemies that are bullet sponges if you don't have amazing gear, and this issue get worse when bossing and much worse when fight the end game bosses or Invincibles. Many builds if they are not perfect simply don't have the DPS or survivability to do the late game bosses with out lots of prep with certain skills, a little luck with certain skills, or glitching/ abusing certain interactions. I suppose it is the highest level of difficulty so it makes sense that most people won't be able to put the time and effort in to get perfect gear or learn certain mechanics to make a kill more efficient. This issue leads to the the next one and that is builds diversity. Every character has basically one viable late game build besides Salvador that can kinda use anything because he is a walking glitch. Character do have multiple builds but at late game they just fall off heavily for different reasons. for example Zero's melee build fall off a ton because melee damage just simply isn't well balanced in this game, heck even in the current game BL4 melee may be good but it isn't exactly "balanced". These other builds might not work well in end game but they can easily work and feel strong during the leveling process and playing through the main story, so if you don't want to play endgame then this really isn't an issue for you. In conclusion Borderlands 2 is the staple looter shooter and is an amazing game that has a good story, good characters, a great villain, good playable characters, worth while DLC, good loot, great level design and visuals, and fun gameplay, and a great modding community that can give the game new life for players who have been playing for a long time. I highly recommend to people familiar with RPG looter shooter games or anyone looking for something new and hasn't played this game before.
