The Ultimate Vault Hunter’s Upgrade lets you get the most out of the Borderlands 2 experience.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 10.57/day in the week to Sep 10 → 18.86/day in the week after.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 10: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

a goat looter shooter, story is full and the comedy is always hit, but sometimes the grind kinda get repetitive after sometime
This was one of the first games that got me to use Steam. Since playing I've had steam backups delete at least 5 different characters save data across multiple years. This most recent time included 3 different characters I've been working on over ~3 years due to inability to continuously play. One a level 30, another a level 18 most recently, with the others being from various stages of game completion. Ive never had this issue on console versions or even older PS Vita -- PS3 save swapping feature. Only on Steam and it's never clear when the cloud data will corrupt/reset. It's unclear which, you just load in with a level 1 character :) and if you go to select another character it's all CREATE NEW (X) CHARACTER. If you didn't already hate current day Gearbox enough with their slimy tactics and EULA, this is reason alone enough to never recommend someone play another Borderlands game again, especially on Steam. I loved this game as a fun mindless shooter. But having my save data deleted at random and having to restart from no leveled characters, replay the story, and no vault items to help aid that process is unacceptable. I cannot keep a character long enough to engage in the end game content, past the two times I've ever played to and through that content on other game versions.

We played two day with friend. At third day we cant connect together, because "shift connection lost". No idea how we should fix it or why we should think about it at all. We purchased game but cant play finally.
I have been a fan of the Borderlands franchise ever since I played the first game in an internet cafe back in the day. I have been intrgued by the endless loop of addicting gunplay and getting better loot in each main quest, side quest or just generally ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around the world. The sequel brings it into much better fruition with more loot, interesting characters and peak 2012 pop culture and humor. Honestly, Borderlands peaked here and Handsome Jack and the tons of additional lore in this entry made the Borderlands franchise shine in the mainstream and you would tons of hours for how many years by the vast content in this game and it plays great on PC and on the go of my Steam Deck - which is a godsend from that awful port in the PSVita - and even though I know the story by heart and listened to the immersive soundtrack, I still play this game as a way to listen to my favorite podcasts whenever I would like to destress myself after a long day at work. Ironic, as this game is ADHD-inducing - but that's just me and my coping stuff like me playing Dark Souls 3 to "destress lol" But yeah, this game is bargain whenever it goes on sale and it gives more bang for your buck all these years later. And this is much better than 3 and 4 - although the 3rd entry had quality of life changes and additions to the gameplay which is more boomer / twitcher shooter than this one and it is arguably better gunplay. But the overall Borderlands franchise, the second is my favorite and beloved by the entire fanbase.
seriously man i know you are feeling some sort of nostalgia but this game barely functions in current year and it was never good. it's time to admit that to yourself and play a better arpg
Mixed feelings about this game but I will keep my reasoning for negative at the forefront here. There are so many bugs in this that it is considerably hard to run it. At the start, I was put against enemies that would not take any damage. I ended up resetting the entire game, only to be met with more bugs and situations where enemies would just be swarming respawn points. Driving through purple water and taking double damage until you restart the game. General stuff that just added, seemingly at every level. Otherwise, I think the concepts were interesting. I didn't really enjoy having to look for a new gun to use just because mine were not good enough for the present task, but I suppose this is a feature of a looter and not a drawback. Overall, some things were not readily apparent either, such as how the leveling worked with the main storyline, as well as how things should be spent with the coins or tokens or whatnot. Story itself was mediocre, some of the characters were just very cliche but at the time this was released perhaps that was different. I am not sure what to make of it overall as there was definitely some fun to be had but it was a toilsome experience in many regards. I got it for free, and for that price obviously its worth a shot, but it came with bugs that cost me part of my sanity so perhaps it wasn't as free as I thought it was.
