[h1] Almost Gave Me a Heart Attack [/h1] [b] What I Liked [/b] Great gameplay loop, great choices to make, and the art style was what really brought me into the game. I liked it so much I convinced someone else to buy it, that's how good I thought it was. [b] What I Did Not Like [/b] Not much. The grid style isn't that great, but it's what the game is about. [b] Why I Stopped Playing [/b] The last night I played it I ended up having a scare with my heart and ended up in the hospital. This game didn't cause it! But I can't go back to it because I think of that night. Don't let that stop you. It's a great game! [b] Disclaimer [/b] I have been a gamer for over 30 years. I tend to play mostly PC games. I also bounce around between games A LOT. I may purchase a $60 game and play it for 2 hours or spend $10 on a game and spend 50 hours on it. Even if I played a game a short time, it does not mean it is bad. It just means another game caught my attention. I also complain about flaws in games a lot, even about the littlest of things. Keep that in mind when reading my reviews. If I do not have a complaint, then the game must be special!

The story and the way it represent the game is really good. It just like u are reading flipped books. The combination of the cards and dungeon crawler is nice. the graphic are top. Cant wait to buy another title and gonna finish the game

Maybe 15 years ago this would have been something. Too basic. Graphics are laughable. Gameplay is beyond stiff. Boring AF. Game is on rails and the game gets repetitive after a couple hours. Many other crawlers out there decades ahead of this
Not a particularly fun game with somewhat deceptive marketing. This is hardly a roguelike and is definitely NOT a deck builder. This game is basically a procedurally generated Diablo where you can only move on a set, very narrow path (ie either forward or backward at any given time, but never left, right, or diagonal). The two fatal flaws with the game are the poor controls and movement mechanics. In order to attack or target a monster you must click on them. Miss a little to the left or right and your character will start running toward them instead. Add to this the fact that many monster sprites are relatively small, and you have a recipe for frustration. By far the most frustrating part, however, is getting trapped by monsters. The game can either spawn a horde of monsters in front of you, giving you no way to retreat, or certain enemies can spawn large groups of monsters on top of you from across the map. Since movement is "on rails" you literally have no way to escape. You then start taking tons of unavoidable damage and the only way out is to attempt to simultaneously spam heals and attacks as fast as possible. This usually fails, and then you die (through little to no fault of your own). This game has some decent moments, but the combination of frustrating combat targeting and occasionally getting a pile of enemies dumped on your head leading to an unavoidable death just makes it not worth the time investment for me.
Good idea and for a few minutes seems fun, but there are a few things that make this game annoying. 1. You can't avoid a range attack due to the design of this game. 2. you cannot skip the animation where the new card is displayed. And what a pain when the same animation runs 5 times per minute 3rd NPC voices... I'm not sure if I'm too old for these cheap reversences and bad voice acting, or is it really supposed to be like this. Not sure, but it's not fun. It's just a wierd challenge... Looks great, but...eh
