[h1]Experienced on the Oculus Quest 2[/h1] UPDATED VIDEO REVIEW: https://youtu.be/IhTyUDcl-co You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/TdeMAgxf4HY This is a neutral recommendation. This game has lots of negatives going for it. However, there's enough here that I can still recommend it to anyone looking to support the developers with a game that does have a lot of potential. However, it will need lots of work in a few areas before it would be what I consider a good VR game worth recommending to everyone. [strike]The biggest problem this game has right now is the poor performance. The Unreal Engine has seldom run so poorly as it does here on my RTX 3080 (and no I don't have any bottlenecks). I had to change DLSS to balanced to achieve a steady 45 frames per second. That's barely acceptable performance.[/strike] The other big problem is the interactions. Want to swim / dive like in FREEDIVER: Triton Down? Forget about that. No, you're using the joystick and snap turning when diving underwater. No immersion for you! Can you at least open doors in this game? Nah. Can you pick up items? Yes. Do the floaties have semi-realistic physics in the water and on land? Yeah actually. The voice overs are terrible. [strike]The graphics can be blurry at times. The textures and shadows are pretty bad. However,[/strike] it's fun to dive off the cliffs. The gameplay is all over the place actually. A lot of this game is looking for coins which isn't fun. You're stopped from immediately diving where you want and how you want because you have to find those darn coins. That's a shame because this game does have some nice parts. There's just lots of circling around for small, but quite high payoffs. [strike][b]Rate 5/10.[/b][/strike] [quote]Please note: I received a free Steam key through the Steam Curator Connect program. Horrible performance. It doesnt matter if you play at lowest setting or resolution 9000%. Horrible voice acting and item handling. When I finally got to swim in the ocean the game might be enjoyable depending on whats avaible to to explore. You are asking too much money and this should be labeled as early access.
Diving for treasure so you can afford new gear, to be able to dive for treasure more effectively. Exploring wrecks, identifying fish, jumping off of cliffs... Its worth messing about in. https://youtu.be/9h9xgeIjPps
I'm giving this a thumbs up but couple of points that I think need a fix...if anyone is interested. 1. I played through sunset resort collected all the coins and got all the kit, only to receive a message I needed to pay for my starter kit...which I had. Wandered round and found no way to exit level, even though status showed objective complete. Quit game in hope that would do something and I am back to start. So it seems game hung after completion of inventory. Wasted 2 hours of my evening. 2. In real diving you can clamber up and down rocks underwater. I couldn't in this...which is unrealistic. I also couldn't jump on or over low harbour wall...which is unrealistic On the positives. This is a really good game with lots of potential and I ran it smoothly on an RTX2060 card with Quest 3. Devs please tell me how to get out of sunset ban and make the physics a bit more realistic. Thanks
This is a great game that teaches you some basic of diving. I highly enjoyed this game and felt the beach experience was fantastic. The ONE thing I'd advise you to do is if you want to take a break after the save points, since they are far and few between each other you should do that. I was expecting my progress to somehow auto-save and it doesn't, but knowing this ahead of time you will be fine. It saves when you get to the beach part, and then only after you've gotten all the gear does it save again, FYI... Despite that 1 thing, its a great game and I highly recommend it, it is relaxing and exploring is fun.
Um simulador de mergulho em realidade virtual com a liberdade de configurar a experiência para seu equipamento, testei no HTC Vive e tive uma grata surpresa, so não recomendo ligar o free mode, se não estiver acostumado com VR, a Nausea é real!
