Great game, many puzzles, many different layers of thinking required. I've found it most fun playing with others.
Insanely good, polished game: It keeps me hooked every time... Too often if you ask my girlfriend last days. Runs like a charm, feels like reading a great book, and looks amazing.
unusual and intriguing, Blue Prince sucks you in with layers of mystery, a lot of challenges, and a rogue-lite style that gives you a little more hope after each successful run... but only a little.
That sure was something! Finally 100%ed it! The 2 instances of "Stand and wait here and do nothing for 41 minutes and 15 seconds" because the puzzles are time based, were really really unnecessary and stupid. If there was a way to pass ingame time through "resting" or setting a magic clock item to a specific time or whatever, those would have been completely fine puzzles, but forcing the player to just wait is not good. However aside from those, the game was really really good! The lore was cool and presented in a very nice way. It was quite challenging, but not in a bad way. There is a point though, in the endgame, where the puzzles get so hard and weird that it's probably meant to be solved by a community rather than on your own, so I wouldn't recommend going into the game thinking you're going to solve everything on your own without hints online. The wikis for the game do present things in a nice mostly spoiler free way, until you reveal the spoiler information yourself manually. Aside from that it was a really nice experience to solve it mostly by myself and a trusty OneNote notebook.
Great game with engaging puzzles that require some book keeping.
I couldn't recommend this game highly enough. We need more games like this: carefully crafted with intention in nearly every detail, mechanics that work seamlessly and beautifully together, puzzles that challenge, a story that engages and embeds itself in your heart, made with love by a developer who cares. This game is art and it is deep, not just a shallow product like some other indie developers make. It may actually be my favorite game of all time, and I'm dying to see what this developer comes up with next. I rate it 46/10.
Layers upon layers of puzzles, delivered though a simple yet effective core gameplay loop. You'll surely find something new every run, which keeps it fresh for a surprising amount of time.
it's good
This game is equal parts fun and an amazing headscratcher of a game. There's so many things to find and do, the replay value is extremely high! I am nowhere close to understanding all of what is going on yet. Suffice to say, 10/10 Blue Prince really earns its spot on unique gameplay and the world lore is fascinating. It may not be for everyone out there, but all my friends who've played it have all loved it, now I can say I do too.
