incredible game that goes much deeper than what it seems on the surface. good balance of cerebral heaviness and dopamine hits. [i]fantastic[/i] game to play with a friend or group of people gathered around a tv. 10/10
insanely unique blend of puzzle and roguelike elements make this game one of the most interesting experiences to date. highly reccommended to write notes whilst playing the game in order to remember elements across the game.

Blue prince is a roguelike puzzle game, which is as uncomfortable of a combination as it sounds, the majority of puzzles take place over multiple rooms, meaning you need to spend a laughable amount of time hoping the corrects rooms generate to even attempt to progress the game. The puzzles themselves are actually really fun and interesting, it's just a shame how little this game respects your time. tl:dr if you want a puzzle game that WILL take you many many hours whether you like it or not, you should get blue prince
It is one of the weirdest games I have played so far and I played over 100s if not 1000s of games at this point. Usually I am not a fan of puzzle games because they fall into 2 categories, very easy puzzles where it becomes boring or the gameplay itself sucks and is boring itself. Blue Prince does not fall in any of those. The puzzles go from "wow cool, first grade math" to "What if I do X and then draft Y on day Z while IRL is a Bloodmoon." The soundtrack(s) are amazing, calming, relaxing, I listen to them outside of the game too if I wanna just lay back, relax and think about life. Which is funny because the entire game is a thinking process. Things that look not important at all can become really important the moment you find a specific rooms. There are plenty of meta puzzles too. Who ever designed this game is crazy. I can not imagine how hard it had to be to develope such game. And you are going to need a sheet to write everything down. There is sadly no journel in game so... word it is. I wish the dev the best and hope to see another masterpiece like this. Would buy it right away or a DLC. You have done well.
