Beautiful artwork, nice animation and a game with a whole lot of very frustrating issues. Starting with the fact that the only available character customization is hair and skin colors, along with a few hair styles. I am aware there are ways to purchase more hair styles, but it's 2025. No character customization in a game is a nope. The game map is a mess. There are areas in town (grass, for example) that you are unable to walk on, so you roll around with no idea where to go to. Stick to the paths, I guess... Signs, such as bridges, forests, house are not interactive. Eventually you'll learn where to go (?) Flowers, shells and other items don't have a description besides the name. I played 4 hours (5 days of Spring) and gathered about 500 mixed seeds. Lots of stones and wood. Being able to only stack up to 99 items is a bit complicated. I ran out of room quickly. The biggest issue for me was definitely not being able to locate an NPC where I could sell items to. I had the feeling the story was leading to having a museum and being able to donate items prior to selling them, but walking around with my 500 mixed seeds for several days was not the best experience, seeing that there's not a whole lot of explanation about what was going on. With the world the way it is out there, I decided to pursue a game that makes me happier. Hope to return to this one once it is more polished and I do hope the devs give it a bit more love, as it is a beautiful game that deserves a chance.
I love how you can date everyone and you can just directly jump to dating someone else without the need to break off an engagement. Every single individual who's ready to date, will date you no matter your gender, race or sexuality. And that's wonderful. I am a little sad that the game's content isn't a lot. I can maybe finish it in mid to end of the 2nd year. I need more content! Maybe have quests that are only unlockable in year 2 or later. I want more inventory buttons where we can directly store items that we have into a chest. I love the variety of vegetation we can plant! It's a lot more than a lot of other farming games out there! I was hoping for more blue oak usage in the later parts of the game. Like i thought there would be more furniture or farm decor that would be secretly revealed by the game with blue oak material used. I don't know if this is something everyone can relate, but when I started playing this game the visuals were sort of too much for my eyes. I think maybe it's cause I'm so used to how in isometric games, any game asset that's designed in them usually follow the cubic space and size strictly. Whereas in Blue Oak Bridge, many items designed in the game, be it buildings, plants, a wooden sign and such, they all somehow break this rule. (Not that it's a completely bad thing. Honestly, I feel like that's kind of the reason why this game's artstyle is incredibly unique and it has it's charms.) It took a while for my eyes to settle in. It doesn't bother me anymore after playing for 1 to 2 in-game week. I love love love the art for all the food you can make in this game. So much colours and thought! I'd like to say that I've never seen this artstyle anywhere before! But, I realised we don't get to use the food a lot. I wish the usage of food happens more often. There's just not enough quests from villagers asking for cooked food. I NEED MOAR! To put it simply, i can't remember much of each food's sprite art. That's how little I look at them. (Save for the cooked food that are some of the villagers' favourites.) There's a lack of town events. I would love to get to know the villagers even more through festivals. I don't know if this is in the works or not, but I'm hoping it is! I think nearing 2nd year, the fishing part of getting all the rare fish is stressing me out :') I can only play 2 in-game days and not caught any of the rare fish and I'd have to stop, cause just dreading fishing again on the 3rd in-game day sucks the fun out of everything. Overall, I'd suggest this game to everyone. The devs are most possibly hold the fastest record in response time to bugs. They have a very active discord channel too. I've never even mentioned any of the bugs in this review, because it always seems like the devs could fix everything or find a way to get you through it. They'd often request for your buggy file too! So they could immediately tackle the problem. I've never seen a swifter response as them. spoilers beyond here --- I really wished there's a way to make Locke eat his words. His discrimination against witches was something that I hated close to the end of his personal questline. I was really hoping we'd get a redemption quest for him. but alas.
Very cute game! I love the mix between 3D and 2D elements. I got a bit confused about strafing thinking I broke the game but all was good. My sole complaint is there are no text options. I had a hard time with the text due to my dyslexia, and while streaming my chat also had a hard time reading it. If we had the option for what type of text we want, or to change the size, I feel it would help a lot.
This is a hidden gem! Super cozy game that somehow flew under my radar. Has all the classic mechanics, good story, engaging characters with fun dialogue. I am really enjoying it.
This game is just cute and enjoyable. It doesn't make me feel stressed and the fishing doesn't make me cry.
I love the art of this game. It's so charming. I am enjoying it a lot. The mechanics are simple and fun, animals are cute and I am looking forward to uncovering the story. I love that each character has their loved gifts listed in our journal. While we cannot make most early on, it's still a super awesome QOL feature for players like me that don't care much about the relationship building but want the rewards. Although, the dialogue in the game is sassy and fun, and the characters are quirky. Almost every character has a bunch of quests too which makes the relationship building worth it and engaging. The game is absolutely worth it especially since the price is also very affordable. Good job indie devs!
Beautiful game. I don't understand why the reviews are at 73%!! Just the art alone is 100 % beautiful. The game play is a bit slow-ish, (but I guess that is the essence and point of these types of cozy games- to relax.) Regardless, its fun anyway. It is your typical crafting and gathering resources type of game. If you like those, you will like this a lot. It's sort of a hidden gem. This is one of those rare crafting games where you actually have enough inventory space, and enough money to buy things! That is another reason that makes this game a 10/10 for me. So far, there seems to be many things to craft and decorate. The game feels well balanced, and the fishing is fun and simple. I have only played this game for a couple of hours but it is just awesome as far as a really pretty and very relaxing game. If you want to de-stress, you will never regret buying this game. It's worth it at the full price. I have so far not encountered any bugs. I can't say enough about this game and how sweet it is. Highly recommend.
This is such a gorgeous looking game, it’s like playing a painting! Everything looks hand painted and the style really works well with the genre. Great mix of Farm sim and action RPG. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed!
I recive the game thanks to a giveaway :) i was not paid for the review and will not recive any benefits from it, except the pleasure to give it more visibility :) Do you want to rush objectives, build a factory that produce food and become rich in game super fast ? well... not for you ^^ The game is Cosy, relaxing, and super cute ! (+ on huge discount right now !) the animations are nice, the landscape are beautifull, the movement are smooth, the npc are fun, and I really enjoy my ride so far :)) also, the community is super welcoming, and fast to answer questions or provide help on discord, and the dev is active too :) of course, its a really short team, and with short teazm you often see cool pixel art games. here every place seems paint by hand ! there is issues too of course ! other comments said it : - esc don't open menu, really not a big deal, but we are not used to this. made me perplex at start ^^ - need to be in game to access settings : again, no big deal, just strange UI choice with zero effect on gameplay -lack of settings : guess what, no DLSS, no motion blur, no chromatic aberation.... low, medium, and high. with sound volume are the options available ! add windowed of full screen. and thats it. And thats ENOUGHT :) game is beautifull !! and support ultrawide :) - map is static, cut in zone, and you see in what zone you are, not where on the zone you are. but again, really not an issue, you get confused first time you enter the zone, 3rd time you know where to go ;) - i have read comments that have issue with key binding... i use an azeron cyborg (google it) and i'm left handed, so i remap everything. no issue at all for me :) at first launch, my ultrawide 5120x1440 monitor was not recognized. black bar on side. close the game, open it again, and WOW ! full screen with NO UI STRECH !!! the dialogue show characters in full ! not with half of their head cuut like mannnyy other game when using an ultrawide monitor, i was so happy ! the ui elements are in good place and size, and you look for p1xel8ted's Ultra-wide Fixes on google, you can even have some more options like UI scalling with a slider, wish should work for standard screen too btw :p so if you want a really cool game to spend time, with no rush, and pleasure to discover things, join us on the ride ! i'm so happy to play it, and now its time to stope writing and go back to play !! and coms are open, if you have questions, i will be happy to answer :) (also, i'm french, sorry for my english !)
Constantly crashes. I don't know if my computer isn't good enough or if it is just the game. Needs a tutorial
