About
Blood Dungeon is a feverish bullet heaven platformer from the creators of Nidhogg.
Run, jump, and climb to avoid hordes of monsters. Duck and weave between enemies. Scramble up ladders, across grates, and over chains. Walls, ceilings, and even the watery depths are your domains to master.
The dungeons contain over 100 different enemies to kill. Bats. Centaurs. Exploding Eyeballs. Some fly through walls while others walk, stick, or bounce on them. Learn their movements, outsmart them, and harvest their blood.
Increase your blood level to upgrade your build, or find chests hidden throughout the arenas.
Circulate around the various drop sites to supplement your arsenal and master each arena.
Visit the Dogmancer to pay the bone toll and unlock permanent upgrades.
Unlock nine bunkmates, each with their own weapon of choice and movement perks. Spin climbable webs as Leggy, take flight with Bug, or speed through the Dungeons as only a Skinja can. Experiment with them all!
9 unlockable playable characters with different traits and weapons
6 unlockable unique survival arenas

Reviews
More of a thumbs in the middle, for the price the game is fine and quite alot of fun for the first 6-8 hours before the fun turns to frustration. It needs alot of balance changes to make the 2nd boss to 3rd boss period fun, if you don't build for slow down through items and charm its a run over every time. Once you hit blood level 10 the game basically stops the level-ups and the fun of getting stronger even with extra blood item turning it in Chest Dungeon as you zoom around the mazes looking for the next chest to open. It is also missing standard survivor game QoL like increasing the enemy HP/spawns early on, banishing weapons/items/charms during a run or being able to lock out anything unlocked after the basic weapon/item layout which results in polluted pool of worthless weapons, items and charms to wade through, i've yet to see the oxygen tank in over 35 runs on Flood and maybe seen the flippers 3 times. TLDR: If you like Survivor games like MegaBonk it here but in 2D and with very responsive controls. Buy now for the cheaper price, get a good 7-8 hours out of it and come back when game as been balanced to get those harder unlocks.

It feels unbalanced and unfocused. It’s fun but the dopamine hit is killed the second you hit level 10 on any stage the fun is killed. It takes forever to level up past that. I’ve tried so many builds. It feels impossible without certain upgrades It all feels so desperate. Why are certain characters naked? Because it will get social media engagement and people to look at the game. Is there lore for their nudity? Nope. Messhof do better this sucks.
Upgrades are too hidden. I want to be able to see them from the pause screen.
This game is fun from the start and ramps up as you unlock new weapons and upgrades.
No glory in this hole! GOTY!
This game is absolutely peak. 100% Videogame of all time.
When I fhound out that this was from the developer of Nidhogg 2, this was an instrant buy for me. It is early days for me, but so far I love the art, the music and overall vibe of the game. The platforming element provides adds so much to the Vampire Surviour concept as it makes the early stages of a run far more interesting and engaging. It is a massive thumbs up from me.
Feels like a few patches away from being as good as it should be but its cute
Had a good time with the demo, but the full game is pretty lacking. Bought it on release to support Messhof, but there's a lot of really questionable design choices here lol. The demo kinda provides a more compact version of the game, so I'd recommend playing that for a few hours. The extra levels don't add much variety and some characters/guns are so bad.
Really enjoyed the first couple hours but then it gets to a point where you lose all sense of progression and are just waiting for a run that gives drops that actually give you a chance. Unfortunately it feels like a chore trying to continue.
