It breaks my heart to write this. But I can't just keep quiet. It's pathetic that the devs are closing comments on any criticism. You broke our trust and the entire conservation theme of the game by choosing to go the NFT route. We don't care that it's a "separate game". We don't care that the original version will be unchanged. It's the fact that those decisions were made at all. Many more points are made with evidence on this community post. I had finished this game when it first came out, found it kind of barren, and hoped there'd be more by the time I gave it a second look. Well, I'm back... Only to check the latest reviews and hear that the devs are getting into NFTs? Yikes. Massive yikes. It's been a few weeks since the devs confirmed this (found them responding to comment threads about it), so I'm open to being corrected, but uh... ...Yyyyyeah, as a kickstarter backer, I'm disappointed.

loved this game so much i went to make my first ever review, and learned about their NFT involvement. im actually so sad about this, doing something that goes so against the principles preached in the game is insane. i was so excited for this game and have loved playing it, but i dont think i can play it now that i know who's behind it :( please reconsider

全実績完了｜105プレー時間 まず、日本人ではない、練習のため全部日本語で書いた。 とても良い雰囲気のゲーム。しかしゲーム内の言語は英語しかない。少しだけポケモンみたいにリラックスして、自分のペースでクエストをするとか虫を探すことができる。例えばある虫は夏の季節しか出ないだが、ゲーム内時間でまた来年の夏に現れる。クエストも同じく今年が間に合わない場合、来年や再来年も出る。だからゲーム内時間を気にせず、虫の集めとクエストの進みをゆっくり完成してください。でもかばんの量はかなり少ないからクエストが必要な虫をできるだけ早く提出してほうがいい。 DLCは三つある：ゾウムシとダンゴムシのDLC。そしてプレイヤーたちからデザインした虫のDLC。値段はとても安いのでおすすめする。もっと色んな虫が集められるぞ！ゲームの一番楽しいところは今まで聞いたことない昆虫をたくさん知ることができる。

Unfortunately, this developer has bought into (in 2025!) the idea that NFTs and Blockchain are the way to go. It's a shame, they could have made a vast bug empire of niche games.

Never would I ever willingly support a game that involves NFTs and/or crypto. I'd get a refund if I could.

This was a really nice game but then the devs decided that they needed to get into NFTs. Somehow people are still falling for that in 2025, but it sucks.

I wish I could say I recommend this game, at an earlier point I would have. But it appears the developers were conned into a sketchy crypto deal. This is now an NFT game and I cannot support it as it goes against the principles of game itself. Unless you support GenAI, Crypto, and Web3 this is not a game for you. I would love to one day be able to change this review to reflect that feelings on the game as it was a month ago because the community was full of lovely people. If you are one of the many people who submitted your own works to the Community DLC, you can contact Chera and she will remove your name from the credits. And hope that the new publishers do not take your assets and turn them into NFTs or have them scrubbed to feed a GenAI model that is destroying our ecosystem.

I ♥♥♥♥♥♥ love bugs, I love insect conservation, I think positive depictions of bugs in the videogame sphere is a very good and important thing to feature so other people can see their value at this critical time where we're no longer seeing them buzzing under streetlights in the evenings. Learning today that the devs are going the NFT route is baffling lmao, everyone has their price ig. See ya
