Experienced on the Oculus Rift and Windows Mixed Reality
Please note: I received a free Steam key through the Steam Curator Connect program You can view my video review & gameplay here:: https://youtu.be/NuYwtnqCLuI This is a walking simulator for VR with lots of puzzles. I would say the focus of the game is on the story and the puzzles range from very easy (just finding the right item) to medium difficulty. There was maybe 2-3 puzzles that made me think and had me stumped for a little bit, but I was able to finish the game without much difficulty. Whole game took me almost 5 hours to complete, but that was having to restart the game twice due to bugs I encountered (also I was going at a leisurely pace ... I would estimate most people would finish the game in 3-4 hours). You do have full locomotion and snap turning. However, the locomotion did feel a little bit off. It felt like you had momentum in the direction you were going. Anyways, I think the locomotion could be improved. The story was mostly told through texts you receive on the phone or letters you find strewn across the game world. The one thing that felt really weird in this game is how you always have a mobile phone in your off-hand. So you're basically only using one hand to grab items for the majority of the game. I only remember one part of the game where I had both of my hands to use. I enjoyed the puzzles as I felt they were the right difficulty for a narrative driven game. However, puzzle veterans may be let down by the puzzles not being very difficult. The story was just okay for me. I think a lot of it was lost in translation. Also, there are very few choices in your replies on the text messages (most of the time you are only selecting the one choice you have). Also, I don't think your choice of two responses ends up making any difference in the story. Besides the rough translation and grammatical errors, there is also no voice acting. However, there were several nice moments in this game and some good cinematic scenes, especially for VR (like walking on the piano keys or rising up on Van Gogh's paint) I enjoyed the game. This is one of the better walking simulators for VR (although to be honest, there aren't many good ones). The game ran smoothly for me. I did experience two bugs and those are listed in the community forum discussion for this game. Rate 7/10.
👑 Powered by HoI 4 Deu Curators group in German / English 👑⠀⠀⠀

Follow Main group
Follow Second group
Follow Third group
English: Blind Spot VR, a puzzle game with a story by Unlimited Fly Games. Blind Spot is a little older and first appeared on the PSVR1, and there is also a flat version of the game. Let's take a look at the port for PCVR. The protagonists of the game are two very different siblings, a boy and a girl. She is a tormented, creative and imaginative type, he is more thoughtful and convinced that he has to take care of his sister. Their mother has died and their father has been away ever since. The story takes place in the family's magnificent mansion. At the beginning, we find ourselves in a cellar where a cell phone is lying and ringing. So let's pick it up. To see who it is. Now all left-handers have to take a step back, because from now on the phone is firmly in our left hand, i.e. conversely, we can only interact with our right hand. Unfortunately, there is no voice output and no other NPCs, only the cell phone in our left hand is the only tool we have to solve the many puzzles we find in the house. On the phone we can write to the stranger caller, it has a flashlight and we can save and read the texts of the clues here. All the game settings are also made via the cell phone, including the graphics, which unfortunately remain blurred even on high in the distance, even if you increase the resolution in the SteamVR menu. There is only free movement and you should choose the fastest option, as the character is more likely to sneak through the villa than run. As there is only English text to read apart from Chinese, you should be able to read at least one of the languages. The English translation is a little bumpy, but easy to understand and we can follow the story well. The game tells a not too surprising but interesting story in 3 chapters, which somehow revolves around how seemingly unimportant actions can affect the people around us ... Blind Spot offers 4 different endings, all of which depend on a decision we have to make at the beginning of the third chapter. So that even means some replayability for a puzzle game. The puzzles are varied, some of them are very simple and others sometimes make us think a little. The game itself is linear and guided, the puzzles are generally quite classic and do not present beginners or experts with unsolvable tasks. However, some of the puzzles are somehow special, such as the one in which we have to complete some paintings by Van Gogh. The "Madman with the Red Hair" is not the only painter to appear in Blind Spot, but he is the most important. ... Visually, the game is very well done, despite the slightly blurred look in the distance. The rooms of the manor house are varied and full of detail. You can clearly see the age and origin of the game. Trying to read one of the documents directly and not on a cell phone is only possible if we get really close. And, of course, there are only a few objects that we can pick up. The rooms are full of vases, glasses, pictures... but you can only interact with the things you need. Blind Spot VR is a good puzzle game with a story, the idiosyncratic controls are its biggest weakness. The story is interesting, the atmosphere is good and the puzzles are a fun challenge. Definitely recommended for puzzle fans. There is also a demo to try out. 👀Blind on it, on🎊 my curator page.
Game received from ViveVR groups curator program see bottom of review to join. Video gameplay https://youtu.be/HVg6AcoS_c4?t=1921 A pretty cool HOG crossed with escape the room with walking novel simulator in VR. Work out the clues to follow the story of why your sister has left. Use your phone to receive messages and collect clues. Graphically great looking and the story is interesting enough, the phone mechanic is interesting in VR and it has that Asian story line that they do so well. Price is up there though and would buy on sale twenty five or under AUD Follow the VR curator group: Steam Curator group: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/23133713/ Join The Steam VR group: Steam Group: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/HTCVIVEVR ************************************ Subscribe to my VR gameplay videos: https://goo.gl/YhYn7y Most recent uploads click here: https://goo.gl/R41Hfk
5/10 I found this really frustrating. Mostly because of bugs and poor design decisions, and also really really bad translation. Also, perhaps because of the translation and the blurry visuals, there were three ocassions where I had to consult a walkthrough and even then couldn't understand how the solution to a puzzle was reached. However, I did enjoy it in the early stages and that is why I recommend it (barely).
Watch my video here https://youtu.be/oKXQGTnUtxo Played using the Rift S Blind Spot VR is an intriguing puzzle story driven adventure game sent in a dark creepy mansion. The atmosphere adds to the mystery that lays ahead. Graphics are good and immersive. Reflections are great. Animations are great. Audio might be 3D audio, but not the best I've heard and the crow you follow is very loud when flapping it's wings. overall the sounds are great. Gameplay is really good fun with enchanting puzzles and story flashback moments. The movement needs some work. I was moving when not trying to move. This was very frustrating. Most of the story is in text messages between you and another person. These must read through, so no cool voicing acting here sadly. Even so I found myself wanting to uncover the mystery behind the story and I couldn't let go of a puzzle till I solved it. All round lovely game.
