Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 25 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Blaze of Storm is a vertical-scrolling shmup featuring cyber-inspired pixel art, exhilarating fast-scrolling, and a variety of sub-weapons.
As a cyberdiver, you'll delve into cyberspace and battle a diverse range of enemies. Each of the five selectable sub-weapons has its own unique characteristics, making it fun to use them appropriately depending on the situation.
In addition, when a sub-weapon comes into contact with an enemy, it generates an explosion that deals continuous damage. Making good use of this explosion is key to victory.
More than 20 unique bosses appear one after another, providing a varied and condensed gameplay experience.
Story:
In the year 794 of the Cyber Century, the nation was managed by a giant computer called "Elixia." Elixia controlled all aspects of politics, economy, and the military, making war and poverty a thing of the past. However, that peace suddenly crumbles.
Unidentified enemies appeared in cyberspace and began to erode the system of Elixia. The city's infrastructure was in chaos, communication networks were cut off, and people faced fear.
In response to this situation, cyberdiver "Ayame Crow" began investigating cyberspace. Cyberdivers are people with special abilities who can directly connect their consciousness to cyberspace.
Behind this crisis, it was discovered that there was a human being called "Phantom" who uploaded his mind into cyberspace. He was plotting to control Elixia in order to lead humanity to chaos that he called freedom.
Ayame boards the cyber fighter Image Striker and contacts Elixir. Now, the battle to save humanity from crisis begins!

I haven't been disappointed by any of developer Terarin's STG games, and Blaze of Storm continues that trend. All I need from a shmup that pays tribute to the 80s and 90s are: quick game length, simple mechanics, a great OST, a sci-fi setting, true pixel art, easy (normal and hard) and hard (expert) modes, and snappy controls. Terarin launched this game with an instant 20% discount, which is generous for a one-person developer team (two if you also include the OST composer.) That was enough to convince me to support this game at launch. The only major issue was the online leaderboards. They weren't working at launch, but Terarin quickly released two updates to resolve the issue within a day or so. They were also great at communicating this issue on social media and the Steam discussion board. As a subjective and minor nitpick, I think the game is too generous with providing sub-weapon pickups. It got to the point where avoiding the pickups was part of the challenge. But maybe that was by design. Still, it is impressive how Terarin has stayed consistently good at making these types of games by himself for 10 years.
I'm quite fond of this dev's previous games. They are mostly all related to caravan shmups where you would essentially focus on quick timing, scoring heavy and not having to worry about if you can clear it or not. This game in particular is similar, you got 7 stages all with 3 different types of difficulty. You have your shot options and bonuses and secret bonuses to get higher score. The game is quite easy to clear and it's very enjoyable to play start to finish. The music is really nice giving you the option to play the original soundtrack or a chiptune version of it. Once you beat the game you'll be given a code to unlock the gallery among other things. I'd definitely say this is one of my favorite next to missile dancer. Just like his previous games there is a quick time caravan mode if you're really itching for the leaderboards. Please try the game if you have time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pu8tCrOMuFQ

TERARIN GAMES
Blaze of StormとRevolgear Zero。 Blaze of Storm ⇔ Revolgear Zero

Espresso (Double) & Caramel Macchiato
February 19, 2026. Two shoot-'em-ups were released on the very same day: Blaze of Storm and Revolgear Zero. Placing them side-by-side reveals a striking, almost poetic contrast. Blaze of Storm <-> Revolgear Zero Vertical Scroller <-> Horizontal Scroller Single Player Only <-> 2-Player Co-op Support No Ship Selection <-> Ship Selection Available No Bombs <-> Bombs Available Dynamic Weapon Changes <-> Fixed Weapons (Post-Selection) Offense-Oriented <-> Offense & Defense Integrated Boss Rush Style <-> Traditional Stage Bosses No Ending Branches <-> Multi-Ending (6 types) Cyber/Digital Space <-> Mecha Sci-Fi Worldview Minimal Story <-> Story-Driven Caravan Mode Included <-> No Caravan Mode No Shop/Unlocks <-> Shop & Unlocks Available 7 Achievements <-> 17 Achievements 2 Selectable BGM Tracks <-> Fixed BGM Online Rankings Available <-> No Online Rankings It is like the difference between sipping matcha in a traditional tea room versus enjoying afternoon tea in a hotel lounge. This isn't about hierarchy or quality; it’s about the soul of the experience. The latter offers a tiered stand of scones, colorful pastries, and a wide selection of teas—rich options and vibrant joy. The former strips away the excess, offering a quiet tension and a sense of liberation as you face a single bowl of tea. Or perhaps, think of it as a Double Espresso versus a Caramel Macchiato. Both are coffee, yet they satisfy entirely different cravings. Blaze of Storm is the Double Espresso; it is the matcha in the tea room. Vertical scrolling, no bombs, no ship selection, a minimal story—no unnecessary garnishes. The game places the score directly in front of the player. Weapons shift constantly; the player chooses the weapon, and in turn, is chosen by it, as they tear through enemies. Your score is etched into the online leaderboards. The intensity of focusing everything into a 5-minute Caravan mode feels like Ichigo-ichie—a once-in-a-lifetime encounter. If Revolgear Zero is a shmup to be "savored slowly with your feet firmly planted," then Blaze of Storm is a shmup to be "downed in a single, potent shot." Both are masterpieces that will undoubtedly leave their mark on the history of the genre. Espresso or Caramel Macchiato? Matcha or Afternoon Tea? Depending on my mood, I intend to enjoy both.
Terarin's take on Compile complete. His most impressive game, if you go through his titles you can see his growth. Crazy seeing him grow as a developer in front of my eyes so quickly. I love this and you will too.
High-speed!! High-tempo!! High-tension!!
Very much enjoyed my first run through the game! May be my favorite shmup from this developer so far. If I had any criticism at all, it's that the visuals don't differ enough from stage to stage. But that's a pretty minor complaint when the core game is so fun.
I played the original Raging Blasters and you can really see the growth in art and coding in this new title, Blaze of Storm. The developer really does a great job with the difficulty onboarding new players to the genre. I can't get through any of the traditional shoot 'em ups or recent modern hits like Zero Ranger / Blue Revolver, but was able to get through normal mode on this first playthrough. But going to hard mode after, the challenge ramps up and there's more difficulties to go, making for a smooth and fun challenge to progress curve. The music/art/visuals are all really well done, each level is a joy with new things happening all the time and so many wonderful, unique, and well designed bosses crammed into the 7 different stages. I know I don't have a very long playtime atm but can say I am very happy with my purchase and as a casual player this is one of my favorite entries I've tried and I plan on playing well into the future. It's also been fun to see the growth of the developer and I applaud their work and growth with this game.
