This game is amazing to me! It definitely will not fit the play style of people who aren't okay with a slight grind. though to me this game is a stunning game about mining on an alien planet and there's missions too!!!!!!! (Don't get too many mods (depending on what your playing on the limits 5-10 probably) or your game WILL crash as soon as you open it).
While a bit aimless at times, beneath the rough edges, there's a really solid and fun mining game slowly coming into focus. Unfortunately progress has been slow, assumedly because the game hasn't sold particularly well during it's early access run so far, forcing the dev to work on other things to pay the bills. It's a pity. Honestly, I think players might be more forgiving and open minded about this game if it wasn't nearly $20. Had the game started at $5 with the idea to bump up to $10 on full release, more folks would have given this a shot. As it stands, the dev is still active over on Discord and claiming work on the game is resuming. If true, I wish them the best of luck. There's a really great game to be had here if there's a sincere will to make it so, and I want to play that game when (or if) it drops. Like Agent Mulder: I want to beleive! For now though.... pick it up on sale.

Wish it had some dungeons or something that isn't just mining and finding new things, the swarm really helped the game not become too stale.
Seems to have been abandoned in favor of their upcoming cashgrab.
I found this game while searching for an alternative to motherload and similar games like it. More specifically a sandbox game that has "Infinite depth" to forfill a personal need I have where I must "go deep as possible for ever" because I like pushing games to their limit like that. Blastronaut is currently the best game for this in my opinion and I feel it deserves more attention.
My kind of game, not a whole lot to do, possibly abandoned but I got a lot of fun out of it, that is until it got real annoying. Release the Aliens too early and you are screwed. Release them later on and you are still screwed. The swarms come too frequent, you die you lose half your loot. Put your loot in a chests, the aliens destroy the chests and you lose it all. No guides, super frustrating, but ill give it another go some day. Buy it on sale only.
I think this game needs a lot more on-boarding and some simpler introductory missions. I started the game and was like this is cool, then within 20 minutes the game sent me into a poisonous environment and I died and all my stuff. But I took that as a learning experience, and figured maybe I was not supposed to go there yet, so I tried to upgrade my character, but was not really able to without higher tier ore (which I couldn't find). So I go back to the poisonous environment and proceed to die again. So.... yeah that was my experience.
tldr - Similar to the feel of Terraria, but all weapons are ranged weapons, you have a jetpack, no inventory limit, and mining things is WAY less tedious. It's also obviously way less full featured or deep than Terraria, having not yet been released. So there's no boss battles and the tech tree seems shallow so far. But there's fun to be had with what's here. I do wish they would show you building names when you were near things that you found and repaired, so you knew what to focus your research and building on vs what you'd already gotten access to, but you can mostly figure it out.
Pretty bare bones for this genre, but fun none the less. In addition, after reading through the roadmap this year it seems like a reasonable goal so it appears the end is very much in sight. Looking forward to seeing how it plays out.
Slow is smooth and smooth is fast. Keep up the transparency and dedication Perfoon!
