Review powered by Mamilos Club Group.
Blast Brawl 2 is a pretty solid local multiplayer release that offers some pretty solid mechanics. The real selling point is the differences between characters. Each character, for example, may either parry and attack or kick an enemy away. The "dashes" also vary in a variety of offensive or evasive designs. Matches are fast paced with one hit kills and fast movement speeds. The game has a SamuraiGunn or Towerfall vibe in that sense, although the game has much more of a traditional arena brawler design. Despite fast movement many attacks are a little sluggish to execute. While this doesn't damage the experience so much it does, sometimes, feel a bit counter-intuitive - although this may become more natural as I play more. Definitely worth a purchase if this is your type of game. Subscribe to my curator page for more local multiplayer recommendations: http://store.steampowered.com/curator/7189360/
Grab your keyboard or controller and get ready for a fast paced brawler where one misstep means death. Let's see how Blast Brawl 2: Bloody Boogaloo stacks up as an Early Access game.
Story
Blast Brawl 2 currently does not contain a story. However, there is a sequence when loading up the game giving the player how the characters showed up. If a story mode is decided upon, this can easily be built upon.
Gameplay
Blast Brawl 2 currently has 7 characters to choose from, 4 locations, and 3 different modes for Versus Mode. Each character is varied, feeling different from each other through how they play. While you may learn how to do one perfectly, another will bring a challenge to learn. Weapons, secondary move sets, dodges, and blocks varies between characters as speed is affected by their weapon. Knowing the speed each character possesses is essential as timing is everything. One simple hit can kill you, whether you timing was wrong or jumped at the wrong time can be deadly. With the learning curve high depending on the character and your preferred play style. You start with two characters as you first start the Blast Brawl with the other five being unlockable with coins dropped by enemies. A Tutorial Mode is provided to learn the differences between each character, whether or not you unlocked them, before choosing them to play in Versus or Wave Mode. Along with varied characters, the enemies in Wave Mode are also varied within each location. Each location has a set of enemies that goes with it. Each enemy drops coins, the amount depending on how difficult the enemy is to kill, to unlock other characters. One may have zombie-like enemies prowling while another has nasty bugs hiding in the shadows. This gives more difficulty as you find a character that seems best suited to deal with the enemies as you learn the movements and speeds of them. Along with the player, enemies are also killed with one hit, except a few due to armor, as each round builds the amount of enemies added. A life is given to the player with each round passed, as enemies vary in difficulty. Versus Mode is dedicated to local co-op. Having Survival, Deathmatch, and Juggernaut to choose from to play with your friends along with various options to change. There is a possibility bots can be added, as these characters are already implemented to show in a round in Wave Mode.
Performance
Blast Brawl 2 plays well as the simplicity of the artwork and effects work in its favor. It does give various options to turn off or on to improve the performance, with a description on what it does, if needed.
Sound
Blast Brawl 2 has a booming soundtrack to go with each area. The main menu also has an option to go to a boombox which contains many albums you can choose from.
What's Planned?

More characters
More enemies and corresponding locations
More modes
Unlockable outfits
Unlockable move sets
Single player and Co-op challenges
Possible Online Mode
Possible Story Mode
Possible bots in Versus Mode
Possible option to have blood as confetti

Overall
Overall, Blast Brawl 2: Bloody Boogaloo provides a solid, addicting gameplay despite how limited it can be. With the fast paced style and quick respawn, hours can disappear as you become more involved with being the best. There's only a few improvements that can be made so far; such as the options for Versus Mode can be moved so it can be selected within it instead of options and descriptions of each menu being shown when hovering over it instead of already being displayed to clean up the menu. Only time will tell how Blast Brawl 2 will end up, but it has a promising start. 2d platform zor hack and slash türüne de benziyor çizimler fena değil az buçuk gideri var
Really like the game, still in early access so I cant give a final note, but it is on the way to a solid 10/10 pros - The music/sound - The style of the game fits pretty well - Really good tutorial, not too annoying or complicated - characters play totally different - suprisingly high amount of variating enemies - different mods with different possibilities - one of the few really playable games while being early access recommendations - story mode would be really perfect, the style of the game would let a lot of variations for the story mode and give it some more longtime motivation(like finding stuff for characters or unlock characters on different difficulties) which it seems to lack at the moment - just buying the characters is ok, but, in my opinion, a little blunt, it would be way better to get them through different kind of achievments, for example: reach wave X on some map, finding the character while playing story mode, killing 50 enemies in a row without dying, etc. (similar to games like Risk of Rain) - parying melee attacks isn that good, maybe it could stun for a short duration aswell, but then again maybe I am too noob and cant use it usefully All in all I totally
recommend
the game though!
3.5/5 This game is a party brawler akin to "Super Smash Bros" or "Nekketsu Kakutō Densetsu"(NES). The thing I like most about Blast Brawl 2 is that this is one of those games that kicks your ass. It's one of those game that forces you to "git good"... sorry but ain't no hand holding here buddy. the first couple of times you play this your gonna get mandhandled for being a noob. You've got to spend hours becoming better, mastering the characters, understanding the importance of dodging, when to use special moves, how to set up baddies for a fall etc.. This isn't some ole button mash... no sir. Pros - Addictive gameplay - This is one of those games that you keep going back to - Multiple Chars with unique styles that you'll have to master- This only adds more replay value to an already addictive game. Trust me you might hate a character if you haven't mastered there style as yet...but when you undertsand the techniques and have mastered the different styles of the chars you'll grow to love them. - Booming soundtrack - Yeah man sweet synthwave soundtrack ( In my opinion this is the best genre for brawlers/beat em ups) - Nice Variety of unique stages and baddies. - One of those games that forces you get better. Cons - - No online Multiplayer (still a chance this might be solved in the future), i dunno man but online (and couch) multiplayer shud be a must for brawlers/beat em ups and party games like this. I'm afraid that the lack of online multiplayer might even hinder the game from reaching its full sale potential. - No story mode ( this could possibly be solved in the future) - Doesn't allow you to fight bots in versus mode (this might be solved in the future)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nj679SJm1S4 (Blast Brawl 2: Bloody Boogaloo was featured on my youtube channel, and now onto my short review!) graphics, sound & artstyle? - Blast Brawl 2 BB has a very eloquent style when it comes to the artstyle, at first glance it's nothing to be impressed by, but after you take a good hard look at it, you think, "Wow! this is a lot better looking than I thought!" It plays well and the music plus the settings of the stages bring the experience all together. I wouldn't exactly say it made me feel nostalgic but I felt like I grew up with games like this, seldom can I bring friends over and everyone just get into it like we did with BB2:BB gameplay? - As mentioned above it is something anyone can pick up and just learn to play. Although it has a learning curve and timing is everything with Blast Brawl as one hit means youre dead. There are 7 characters from which you can choose from and each one has a completely different feel to the others which gives you a completely new experience every time you play with new sets of characters, some having the slight edge over others. BB reminded me of times when I was a child and we'd have Super Smash Bros. tournaments. It is a well polished game for what it is, however there is NO online multiplayer and only has a Single Player Horde mode, so no battles against BOTS. I've read that a Story Mode might be something to be added down the line but no word yet. Whats the price? - The retail price for this is $14.99 and is an Early Access Game. How many hours estimated? - I can honestly say that you will invest well over 30-40 hours approximately if you have a couple of friends who are into this type of game. Pros/Cons -Pros: 'It's tons of fun 'short matches means tons of rematches 'artwork/style is very captivating '7 very distinct characters to choose from 'Up to 8 players 'easy to learn 'MORE CONTENT TO COME SUCH AS More characters! More enemies, with each distinct region Unlockable outfits! Unlockable alternate movesets! Some additional single-player and co-op challenges! -Cons: 'No online multiplayer 'level selection is limited 'No Bot matches 'No Workshop 'Horde Mode Buy it now, Wait for it to go on sale, Don't. -Well as opposed to a number or letter grade I go by this system. Buy it, Wait for Sale or Don't. So as of right now the game plays wonderful, and much more is to be added, and all is this is being done by just one person. It's promised that he will bring much more content to the game and is looking for community feedback which I love in an indie developer. There were few to no cons in my opinion to deem this game a dont or a wait for sale, which is why i say if you can back a Young Dev up, absolutely BUY IT NOW. I would love to see more content be put into the game such as workshop so we can make our own levels and maybe add a feature where we could add bots to matches or have matches with bots. Story Mode is welcome but not necessary for a game like this in my opinion. But overall it is a solid game and tons of fun to play with. So to reiterate in my opinion Blast Brawl 2: Bloody Boogaloo is a definate BUY IT NOW
Fun game. Great with friends.
AMAZING GAME, 100% recommend
Very good addictive game. This game is great with a couple of friends on the sofa. Fast paced and lots of fun. The charactors work very differently from each other which gives lots of aspects to the way you play the game. Having lots of fun with this game, both multiplayer and single player, working through the waves. However really really looking forward to the adventure mode. I believe this mode would really make the game complete and give you a more focused goal to play alone or with friends. Overal very enjoyable and addictive gameplay. Cant wait for adventure mode!!!
