Gameplay & Features
Blacksmith Shop Simulator has a solid concept and a charming core loop, but unfortunately, it feels unfinished. I managed to "complete" the game and earn 100% of the achievements, but it became clear that there's just not much to do after a short while. The idea of running your own blacksmith shop has potential, but the execution lacks depth. Customers simply stand in line with no variation or interaction. Dismissing one costs too much experience, which feels unnecessarily punishing. The merchant being outside is an odd choice, he’d make much more sense indoors and buying materials drops them on the ground instead of going into your inventory, which is clunky and inefficient. What’s really missing are quality-of-life features like a UI that tells you how much of each material is needed for crafting specific orders. Without that, you're stuck guessing or constantly checking. Random events or varied customer behavior could make the game more dynamic and engaging, but right now it’s just repetitive.
Highlights
Solid idea with room to grow. Fun concept for fans of shop simulators.
Cons
Repetitive gameplay with little variety. Harsh penalties for dismissing customers. Clunky UI and material management. No developer response to feedback (at time of review). Feels unfinished and lacks content.
Overall Experience
Blacksmith Shop Simulator could become a good game with enough updates, but right now it’s just too barebones and boring. It lacks the systems and polish to keep players engaged, and until more features and fixes are added, I can’t recommend it.
Thanks for reading!
demo was fun but after playing. the penalty for dismissing shouldnt be 100x more than what you get when completing a order. you barely gain much when completing a order. getting a refund do to that mechanic.
An addictive game mechanism with a charming atmosphere. This is what I've been wanting lately.
铁匠铺模拟器,打造装备顺便出售,流程枯燥比较单一,接单-打造几下-交单,活动范围也被限制某个区域。 不支持简中。
Demir döverken stres attım resmen. Keyifli bir oyun, emeklerinize sağlık.
easily understandable game mechanics, well explained tasks, nice soundtrack and overall a very good simulator game. it shows that the developer have put a lot of effort into the game. would definitely recommend.
First of all, the game is a bit different from other shop simulators because you can’t simply turn away every customer. Doing so will lead to a game over. Your performance is tied to your experience level, which decreases whenever you refuse a customer. If it falls below zero, you will have to start from scratch. Fortunately, running the shop and earning experience is very straightforward, and you will only fail if you deliberately try to. When a customer approaches the counter, their order and the required material are shown instantly. This helps you know exactly what to purchase from the material seller waiting outside. There are only six material types, and you serve one customer at a time, so it is easy to keep things under control. Customers will queue up patiently while you finish with the one you are currently serving. After buying the needed materials and picking them up from the ground, you should keep in mind that anything left there at the end of the day will be lost. You then head to the forge to craft the requested item. There are six crafting categories, such as armor, axes, and shields, with multiple variations in each. At the start, you can only make the most basic items, unlocking more by spending experience points on research. The good news is that customers will never request something you have not learned to craft. Forging is quick and simple. You just press a button a few times when a moving arrow passes over a generous green zone, which takes up about one-third of the bar. Missing does not prevent you from completing the item, but it will be lower quality and will earn less money and experience. Once forged, the item appears on a nearby table, which you must clear before crafting another. With everything ready, you return to the counter to sell to the customer. Days end automatically, and there is no penalty for unserved customers. However, there is also no downtime to prepare items for the next day, so you start the new day immediately. This lack of free time makes the shop’s interior largely irrelevant. While it features shelves and racks, some of which are unlocked with money and experience, you never have time to actually fill them unless you ignore customers, which goes against the game’s main objective. Similarly, personal upgrades are minimal, offering only a higher inventory weight limit and one extra table on which you store forged items. Overall, it is a simple forge simulator with easy achievements.
