Um remake feito por fãs que ficou tão bom que a Valve resolveu vender oficialmente na Steam. Refaz o Half-Life original com a engine Source, mantendo a essência mas modernizando visual, física e level design das partes que estavam datadas. Xen, a seção mais criticada do jogo original, foi essencialmente reconstruída do zero pela equipe do Crowbar Collective, e ficou surpreendentemente boa, algo que ninguém esperava depois de anos acostumado com a versão capenga de 1998. O resto mantém o ritmo icônico do original: tiroteios táticos contra soldados, puzzles ambientais e a atmosfera claustrofóbica do complexo Black Mesa. Se você já jogou o Half-Life original um milhão de vezes, aqui é a desculpa perfeita pra revivê-lo com cara nova. Se nunca jogou, talvez seja até melhor começar por essa versão.

it is not a remake of the original half life, its more like a reimagination, a very good one.
Black Mesa é o jogo que exala o amor de fã. Ele pega o jogo original e melhora muito, além de adicionar muita coisa como cenários totalmente refeitos, e conteúdos inéditos. A gameplay é dinâmica, tudo o que um Half Life pede. Porém, infelizmente, vou repetir o que a maioria diz. A parte de Xen ficou muito estendida, e até mesmo maçante. Mas só tenho isso para reclamar, de resto o jogo é divertido, dinâmico e com uma gameplay que não enjoa. De fato, um dos melhores remakes já feitos.
Game is good, still half life but better. GFX changed but the game isnt something else, looks different but plays incredible. recommended.
