a much more preferable experience than the original game in my opinion, but i have encountered several game crashes using linux. I have no idea how it runs on windows, but expect crashes. overall, an amazing game.
amazing game, wish more games were remade from the 90s early 2000s
I'm a bit sad writing this review because I can see the heart poured into this remake, but the levels added by the developers drag on for too long. The first part of the game (which is more or less faithful to the original Half-Life) is really cool and well done. But then you find that the last chapter is almost as long as the rest of the game, and that it's absolutely boring. Past the first half hour, it adds absolutely nothing to the experience. You'll find some mechanics that are fun and interesting the first one or two times you do them, but then you have to do them again and again and again. Like the rewiring of consoles or the platforming on the conveyor system. I literally binged the first chapters, but the last one I had to play in 10-minute sessions because I found it so boring. I should've swallowed the old graphics and played the original.

Excellent remake pour découvrir ou redécouvrir ce monument historique. 10/10 pour la nostalgie. Maintenant je veux Blueshift.
Честно говоря ремейк очень хороший, если вы не проходили half life 1 то это один из способов поиграть в эту игру с хорошей графикой, но это неполноценный ремейк есть моменты где некоторые моменты переделаны (в основном зен). Не могу не отметить Deathmatch тоже отличный такой же динамичный как и раньше. Основные улучшения: 1)Фонарик стал нормально светить, а не из задницы как в оригинале 2)Графика (вообще дело вкуса мне в обеих играх она нравится). Минусы: 1)Связано с достижениями при доставки пиццы и шляпы они плохо идут на лестницах, тоннелях которые тебя тянут (зен) и портал (ядро лямда). Других не заметил Ну и на последок саунд дизайн он изменён (сделан одним человеком Джоэл Нильсен) и стал как по мне лучше, хотя опять же дело вкуса. И оптимизация она хорошая игра пошла на моём старом ноутбуке где стоит 2gb ram и celeron со встройкой тянули игрудо глав с открытой местностью. Короче, я доволен, ставлю 10/10.
优缺点挺鲜明的，武器系统做的都很好，类型很多而且也很有趣，画风比较硬核，僵尸种类也很多战斗系统非常完善。 但是游玩体验却很糟糕，几乎没有指引，很容易迷路卡关，而且解谜部分太多太难了，很多都莫名其妙。游玩的大部分时间都在找路和解谜，有些地方甚至不查攻略完全过不了，导致游玩节奏一言难尽。 至于剧情，在十年前的枪战游戏里确实算神中神但在游戏制作水平大幅提升的今天也不算多么惊艳了。。。 如果实在喜欢单机FPS，还是战地游玩更加顺畅，价格也更亲民。
This was a blast. The exploration, the shooting, the puzzles, all highly entertaining. My only grip is sometimes, I’m like, where the hell do I go next. After bumbling around a bit, I figured out. I was familiar with the story of Half Life from hilarious YouTube let’s play titled “Freeman’s Mind” by Accursed Farms. Playing the updated and extended version in Black Mesa myself, did not disappoint. I highly recommend this game.
