Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
One market had a chart position on both sides of this cut. One sale in one country is an anecdote — read it next to the store-wide figures below.

Korean MMOs always be K-MMORPGs, cluttered UI, terrible newbie onboarding, and somehow every interaction lead you to use your credit card ( 4 subcriptions ask to purchase in a game is freaking bizarre). I was actually having fun for the first 30 minutes in the starting zone on the Asia styled island. Then the game told me to jump into a well to travel somewhere else for questing. So I did. The problem? There was basically zero explanation on how the system worked. Like any normal person, I interacted with the orb nearby after go into the well, and suddenly I got teleported to a heavy fog island full of high-level enemies while I was only level 33. Even worse, I couldn't find a way back. Maybe I'm just a noob, but that starting quest design completely killed my motivation. My excitement instantly dropped to zero, and seriously uninstalled the game right there. And that's not even mentioning the region-lock nonsense. My Steam account couldn't access the version I needed, so I had to buy another copy on a different account. Absolute BS. They sell the game for basically $1 just to get you in the door, then expect you to spend $100 on "quality-of-life" features. Let's be honest, most of those aren't even QoL anymore like everyone happily said to you. They feel almost mandatory if you want to progress efficiently later on. I played BDO back around 2017 and honestly miss that version. The UI was cleaner, the gameplay was easier to understand, questing was straightforward, and the endgame felt more approachable. Coming back now feels like the game is designed exclusively for existing endgame players, while new/returning players are left to figure everything out themselves. So long, BDO. I don't think I'll be touching this game again.

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 17: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Latest in each market: best BR #17, worst JP #92 · 12 markets collected
US · last 30 days
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 12.43/day in the week to Jul 30 → 18.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Endless cutscenes, go from A to B, endless talking, [is this a walking simulator/visual novel], bad controls, bad UI. Somehow I got to level 7 without even fighting enemies. Also censored.
I have played this game from nearly the initial launch. i have always loved it. there is a tremendous mainline and side quest content. I have enjoyed everything there is. I would have given this game 5 stars for years. However the newest update has allowed modern clothing into the game. This ruins the aesthetic of the game. I don't understand why it was done but the entire game is moving in that direction. to me this signals the end of what was black desert. there are also new aspects to the game that just do not fit with the original game content or the period of the game. Sadly it seems as if the content will be moving in that direction. I will leave it at not recommended but I doubt it will deserve more than that in the future.
No puedo recomendar un juego que esta cayéndose a pedazos con muy malas actualizaciones, dejen de tomar malas decisiones con las lifeskills por favor.
Black Desert is the ultimate ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ real-money laundering simulator masquerading as an MMORPG. Pearl Abyss completely abandoned actual game design to build a soulless corporate marketplace trap. It’s nothing more than a brain-rotting pay-to-win wallet simulator. The game has a totally choked, economy where you can't even freely sell the rare items you actually drop. Instead, the company forces you into a strictly controlled global shop designed specifically so whales can buy premium cash-shop items with real money and flip them for in-game silver. Pearl Abyss literally turned their entire game into a legalized currency-exchange scheme just to line their corporate pockets.
Trash toxic people, don't play PVP, even in pve zone inbred lord will attack you because they live in a fantasy world, where their real life is rotting away.
Wanted to check back in after a while. I played on release, put money in the game but now through support i found out my account has been deleted due to inactivity :'D. First time that happened in my life. When kakao games gave the game over to pearl abyss I even came back to transfer my account to pearl abyss because i didn't want to lose it. But that was not enough. All life skills, all skins, all mandatory life skill items you had to buy to make life skilling worth it, gone, all the high tier horses gone, inventory expansions gone, loot pets gone, everything gone :(
fetch quest sim the combat is practically side content i hate this i spent 5 hours playing and never made it to the game
I will never play this game. Do developers have any clue at all as to how many games people may have. And, how many of those require a client (outside of Steam) that require a Log In! I should NEVER have to "log in" to any type of gaming client if I have Steam! Not EVER!!!
