I've always had major crash issues running the remaster vs. the original game. I'm not sure if it's worth a buy really if you own the original.

BioShock Remastered is a stunning, atmospheric return to one of the most celebrated and narratively profound first-person shooters in gaming history. Set in the crumbling, underwater dystopian city of Rapture, the game masterfully blends immersive horror, objectivist philosophy, and chaotic combat where you weaponize genetically modified powers alongside traditional firearms. While the remastered edition beautifully sharpens the unsettling environment with upgraded 4K textures, improved lighting, and a fascinating director's commentary track, it unfortunately inherits several stability flaws from its original release. The updated version is heavily bogged down by frequent, unpredictable desktop crashes and frustrating audio bugs that can disrupt your immersion, meaning you will need to rely on frequent manual saves to truly enjoy this otherwise flawless artistic masterpiece. Must play.

This is an absolute gaming CLASSIC!!! If you have never played this game before, its 100% worth running through it. This has replay-ability, and is loaded with great horror vibes. Definitely has jump scares the first playthrough, but then you get used to it a bit although you will still get caught in the heat of battle and may get scared again here and there. The music is absolute peak too. No other game like this, truly one of a kind and my favorite game series ever.. which is not an easy crown to hold!
