Wow,what an amazing game, the gameplay is really fun and encourages you to go around and explore the whole level. The story is pretty entertaining, and I loved the third act so much.
No Reason not to play it, if you already loved the main game.

rockt auch 2026 noch :-)
Better then the first, except for the ending...
The crashing is just unbearable. And more infuriating is that the game doesn't have a proper Auto-save feature (it only autosaves at the beginning of each level). Had to replay a whole hour just because i didn't save the game and it crashed during a fight. You are better off playing the original version (not remastered) of Bioshock 2.
Game is really good this was the first time I ever played trhe story. It's diffrent than the original bioshock definitely more combat focused less of a strong story but it picks up toward the end of the game. If you haven't played Minervas den its really good more of an expereince you would find from the first game great story great peice of DLC. One thing to note is trhe default mouse sensitivy is a little high but if you have a superilight and running 800 dpi drop the sensivity to 2.0 its amazing on this sensivity so good.
despite knowing the story it was still incredibly fun. i'll admit i got lost a lot but the area's storytelling makes up for it.
So I actually did like this sequel. I'm well aware, of it's reputation as a red headed stepchild in comparison to Bioshock 1 and Infinite and I can't exactly argue with people's opinions of it as such but I personally enjoyed the novelty of playing as one of the Big Daddies. Returning to the crumbling city of Rapture, this time you're a prototype big daddy without the zombification process and Little Sisters trust you intrinsically. You are a target for Splicers which added challenge to the gameplay and I liked setting up traps and fortitudes to protect my little sisters while extracting adam. I liked being able to venture in the ocean without threat of drowning. I loved The Big Sisters. They were actually very cool and terrifying. I will admit the story this time around is fairly shallow. There's a Lady cult leader that is trying to turn your original little sister into some kind of embodiment of adam. Obviously we're not into that and storm off to save her. There's no big twist this time around, no profound ideation about freedom and liberty. No mysterious back story. No redemption arc. Just kill the bad guys and save the princess. Can't deny this is still a fun game though and seriously effective as a horror game. I can't express the feeling of just lumbering about, minding your business when suddenly you hear the ungodly shriek of a Big Sister and have to desperately hunker down and fortify or get obliterated. Their visual design is iconic. They're super challenging, it's a legit marathon to stay alive most of the time. For me, it's fun but I definitely don't like to put it up against Bioshock 1 because that one's in the major leagues. It's like a 6/10 sorta deal. Not bad. It's decent.
