Top!
Playing this in 2026 reminds me of how good we had it back then. This game was so great, amazing storyline, extremely fun and addicting gameplay, missions and everything about it were done to perfection. I finished the game in 2 sessions totalling in 8 hours, I didn't even realise I was about to finish the game because I was so drawn to it and I just couldn't stop playing. 10/10 better than Bioshock 1, which is one of the best game of all time too.
The game is fun and I love it but I can't recommend it at this moment because of the fact that the game will not allow me to even open the game as it crashes the moment on startup, I'm hoping it's just a driver's update being needed cause this is a masterpiece that everyone should play but i can't in good faith suggest a game if it's gonna crash on start
A bit short for my liking, but still quite fun! That's what she said

Was a great extension to the original
This game feels like an addition to the original instead of a full sequel. The story didn't have as many memorable moments and the story was quite forgettable. However, the environment is quite a set up and was enjoyable. I completed everything in 18hours. It was shorter with DLC than the original.
Bugs & Fixes
- Caught on the environment = crouching was most effective at releasing the player model from the clipping - Windowed Enviorment = Settings - Window Off - Un-Windowing caused pixelation = Re-Window, Change window aspect to highest value, turn off window - Music Looping = Complete quit out. - Not Launching = Check taskbar - the game is running but closes itself due a conflict in wanting to default to windowed mode, which is why the game will reset to windowed mode from windowless occasionally. Even if you did nothing to upset it's delicate balance. This game had so many bugs more than the original. I think it suffered from 2K's expansion during this time, and subsequently, less time and money was spent on the game. Potentially why the story was lacking and the overall length/content was less.
Bioshock 2 is the only game in the series I ever have any specific urge to replay. It easily pushes the core ideas as far as they've ever gone. Infinite stripped out most of them, chased the trends of its time like an overdressed Halo clone, tried its hand at a story that was entirely outside the competence of its writers, and has gone down in history as a great disappointment that killed the studio which made it. Bioshock 2 takes what worked in the systems of Bioshock, which was admittedly using its excellent art direction and high production values to bolster an otherwise rather mediocre shooter, and pushes them. Traps, environmental control, 'bull-baiting' strategies, weapon variety, ability variety, build flexibility and on and on have all been heavily improved in every possible way. The game's narrative feels more reactive than the first, and the villain is far more plausible as there have been far more attempts at establishing communist utopias than individualist ones, and they have all ended in the most horrifying tragedies imaginable.
