About

Welcome to BioEden, a cozy management game where you will build a self-sustaining network of structures, all working in harmony to bring extinct animals back to life. As a Keeper, you have been entrusted by the Cosmic Collective to bring life back to a planet quietly waiting to be healed. Every healing begins with a single step. This one is yours.

Upon your arrival, search for debris sites scattered across the land, they are the foundation of your journey. Recycle them into resources, and use those to build the base of your network: a solar energy system to generate electricity, and a water system to distribute it across all your buildings. Connect them together, weave a network across the land, and manage the supply and demand for every structure you create.
But plan with care. Each addition to your planet consumes resources, draws on energy, and nudges pollution upward. Find the balance between creation, exploration, and restraint, to accomplish the very mission that brought you here.

This world reached out, and you answered.
Recycle your buildings once they have served their purpose. Purify your planet’s lakes and rivers. Reclaim its forgotten ruins. Restore the soil, and watch as life slowly returns to a landscape that had almost given up. Transform this barren planet into a thriving eden, and leave no trace that you were ever there.
You are not just building a home. You are becoming a force of renewal.

On your planet, life is ready to return. Inside your dome, you'll welcome back dozens of extraordinary species, each with its own needs. Gather DNA samples, place your cocoons, and carefully tend to the conditions each creature requires: temperature, humidity, and the right vegetation to make them feel truly at home. Meet their needs, and watch these gentle beings flourish.

The Collective brings together five distinct Guilds, each with its own identity, abilities, and archetype. United by a shared goal, each Guild also pursues its own ambitions, shaped by its core purpose and values. Your choice of Guild defines how you approach your mission: the methods may differ, the philosophies may clash, but the planet needs healing all the same. Choose your path wisely.

In BioEden, you can take the time you need. No fail states, no pressure, just the quiet pull of discovery and the deep satisfaction of watching a world transform through your choices. Let the soft sounds of nature envelop you as you tend, wander, and watch your planet gently come back to life.

In short, you don't own this game, and they're collecting a lot of your data. Spend your money somewhere else. BioEden may be a perfectly fine game but after analyzing the EULA this is a 'lisence' not a copy. So displte you the user paying a purchasing price, they can revoke at anytime, thus you don't actually -own- this game. Let's be clear, I understand that buying a copy of the game does not mean you own Intellectual property of the game, what I expect is if I buy a game I want to own that copy of the game that I paid for. If this continues this needs more strict wording to say 'you are RENTING" this game and you should then allow the user to cancel when they're done with the game. There's also a lot of questions on what, and why Focus entertainment is collecting and handling your data. The EULA permits collection of a fairly broad range of information, gameplay statistics, IP/network information, hardware configuration, connection history, location information, and telemetry. Why? What is the intent of gathering all of this information for a single player local game? To be clear I am not claiming BioEden itself collects every category of data that the EULA permits. A broad publisher EULA tells us what the publisher reserves the right to do, not necessarily what this particular game is doing. However that also means they could decide to push those buttons at any point to collect tha information. I would happily reconsider this review if the terms change to provide meaningful ownership/perpetual-use protections and clearly limit data collection for the single-player game. Until then, I can not recommend this game under consumer rights and privacy grounds. I will be asking for a refund.

This is a casual game. If you are looking for complex decisions or mechanics, this is not your game. I played it primarily while watching television, and really enjoyed it. In my opinion it has little replayability. I played the tutorial and the first "campaign", the second campaign seen like a reskinned version of the exact same thing. There is a lot of rinse and repeat even in the initial part though. It was worth my money. I got 21 hours out of it for 20 bucks. Not to bad.
First, I'll address the majority of the complaints about the game. Yes, it is very simple. Not a ton of strategy or decision making will be found here. On that note, however, the game is listed as "casual" so this complaint only comes from individuals who have little to no grasp of the English language. The gameplay loop is fairly easy, there is no punishment for having to step away or do something else while waiting for miners or purifiers to do their thing. I'd personally recommend it along the same lines as a background idler or something to burn time on at work while waiting for something more important to do. If you're looking for a challenge this is not it though. Overall.... 3/5 It passes for what a cute nature sim but not for a strategy game.
Game was fun for the first 2 hours, but later on becomes slow and repetitive. I was expecting some more depth into the terraforming mechanic, but only have the option of clearing up resource pockets as well as cleaning up rivers and lakes. I think this game needs a lot more content and mechanic before it could be worth the price.
I just finished the whole game by playing all guilds (I still need to get last 2 achievements to have everything properly full and finished :D). Positives: - positive goal of the game - chill cozy vibes; very wholesome - nice soft OST - interesting gameplay mechanics (restoration of nature, designing and meeting perfect habitats for animals, releasing animals into nature...) - beautiful visuals - fun "discoveries of the past" (when you do technical research) Negatives: - rather repetitive - very little variation (between different guilds and their upgrades, quests, storyline) - every gameplay has the same end goal and basically the same playthrough - a few annoying bugs, though nothing too disruptive or game-breaking (e.g. sometimes animal get stuck in the enclosure, so they don't reproduce and you can't release them; thus, you have to redo their enclosure again.... or a visual description of a building gets stuck and you have to "reset it" by viewing a different building in order to make it disappear) - if you play for too long, the soundtrack just stops playing... which is a shame because it sounds rather nice and relaxing I recommend this game, if you want to relax by playing a strategic game that has a positive wholesome message. Hopefully, more content gets released for the game and the minor annoying bugs get fixed.
Cute and solid game. Plenty of flaws, but I think if you come in with a more relaxed to it, I found none of them ruined my enjoyment of it.
A resource management "restorer" game that is quite newbie-accessible and lets you take it at your own pace. I strongly suggest you give the demo and know that the full thing adds some more endgame mechanics and some complexity to in-habitat enplacements.
The controls are frustrating on controller and the tutorial isn't very clear. found myself having to look up guides to figure out things like leaving the dome. I found myself being upset trying to get through the tutorial more so then learning the game.
Fun and cozy, also hope that the critters will get some merch, they're too adorable!
Very chill game. I played the demo first and have been pumped for it since. This is NOT a hardcore management sim, and that's okay, it doesn't pretend to be! I do wish there was a bit more tied to the messages you get throughout the game, because some feel a bit random and unnecessary. But overall, I enjoyed the process of cleaning up, putting down the animals, and micromanaging the conditions in each dome to have the perfect environment for all animals at all time, with every single available animal from one region in a single dome. This is a game to play after work when you just want to do something nice.
