Big Journey to Home is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam. It's a half-puzzle half tactical RPG in a fantasy setting. Poor design aside, the hand drawn graphics are painful to the eye, the gameplay is clunky, and the whole thing has been badly ported from tablet, and doesn't really belong on Steam. This is certainly a game to avoid.

Whether it be loading the game, trying to change options, or whatever else, this game constantly gives me Not Responding errors and sits frozen for extended periods until finally catching up. Annoying enough to make it unplayable for me. Don't have this issue with any other games. Will leave it running long enough to get cards then deleting forever.
I have feeling that people expected something else, that why so negative vote. Big Journey to Home it's fresh idea and fun. I had some freeze on main menu, and my eyes hurts my because of map colors. The game is too much expensive for now.
Utter dross. Lousy graphics, lousy gameplay. Badly translated - dialogue is often completely nonsensical. Hangs often before unfreezing a few seconds later, which is a PITA. Oh, and if you want to unlock any Steam achievements, you have to make an account with them and link it to your Steam account. Why bother releasing on Steam and then deliberately not taking advantage of the facilities they offer? The Linux version also keeps trying to delete my Steam directory...some of the error logs contain this:
rm: cannot remove '/home/hamakei/.steam/steam': Is a directory rm: cannot remove '/home/hamakei/.steam/bin': Is a directory
Which is more than a little alarming!
The game had good ideas, but was poorly executed. I just didn't enjoy playing this game. :(
Even with the new update. This game is very broken and unplayable! Some of the pop-up windows are in Russian and not English.
Tags: Topdown - GridRogue Additional Tags : Delete Local Content & Remove from LIbrary TLDR: Its like a very dragged out flash game, but without ads and without any addictive gameplay. Review: I am not the best to evaluate rogue style games as I always find the barrier of entry too high with the user interface, the audiovisual experience too poor, and the combat difficulty too high. I understand the concept as an ASCII dark souls but even I can tell with the derivative boring directional arrow locked gates and switch puzzles thrown in everywhere, horribly jpeged company splash screen, the vaguely androgynous art potrtait that takes 1/4th of the screen and does not react dynamically to anything, the rpgmaker beginner grade of tile placement for level design, the dialogue that you feel like you would rather avoid seeing, the insta-death the moment you are next to a cockroach, the absence of any form of animation and the poor sound design with no music that this is something to be avoided.
