BFF or Die

Got this as I've been looking for more shared controller co-op games to play with my younger sister. Enjoyed the game even if the monsters freaked her out a bit. My only problem is the resolution. Every time I start up the game the configuration window has everything set to the lowest setting and I have to change it. I start the game up and it stays fine until you open the pause/options menu where the resolution reverts back to the lowest setting for the whole game. I can change it again but if I ever open the pause/option menu it reverts back every time. It's getting quite annoying.

Mais um jogo maravilhoso que me surpreendeu! Realmente um cooperativo local que funciona, muito bem feito e muito bem pensado, desde suas fases, desafios, arte e ambientação! Realmente um jogo muito bom e que merece os prêmios que tem. Os únicos problemas que encontrei, são que, não é possível jogar sozinho (mesmo tendo essa opção, fica muito complicado para controlar dois personagens ao mesmo tempo) e o jogo em si, mesmo com outra pessoa, é bem difícil. Recomendo para quem gosta de um bom desafio, que testa tanto seu intelecto, quanto sua coordenação motora e, recomendo também, para quem tem uma boa dupla e que estão afim de se divertirem jogando juntos!

For the sale price, it might be worth it. (I think I paid $3) We got some enjoyment out the game. Pros: - Does have remote play together and we were able to get 3 of us playing together successfully. - Cute graphics and the start to a potentially intriguing story. - Puzzles to solve: There was at least one puzzle which had us trying multiple times to succeed. Potentially more since we probably were a bit more brute force than the intended solutions. Unsure. The levels were made harder by the maze changing slightly between tries so you can't memorize the paths to take/make too much strategy in advance. - There is an unlimited challenge where you go as long as you can without failing. That could potentially add more gameplay beyond the campaign. Cons: - Weird controls: menus don't use A/B but rather triggers? The on screen instructions don't exist or don't help much with interacting. In game controls are similarly weird - using the tools use the shoulder buttons... and they don't always have a fast response to the button press so we often pressed more than once only to realize we "did" and then "undid" the action in quick succession. The other buttons on the controller are unused entirely so there is no lack of options. Honestly, even clearer in-game instructions for the same button actions would have made it better. - Missing general polish: The hit boxes for the enemies doesn't always seem consistent. The "options" menu was confusing because the "Options" title was the same size/color/font as the selectable menu choices. The story never fleshed out - why are these aliens here? What are they trying to accomplish? What are these orbees? Why are we traveling through "eras" but only in ancient Egypt? We hit a few glitches - sometimes we could push characters over walls using boxes, sometimes not. One time a mummy that should have been trapped managed to run in the pixel wide gap between the wall and the box. - Few campaign levels - there are 30 levels total. We breezed through all 30 in one evening. - Not a lot of replay value? Unclear. We had a lot of laughs but not sure that we'll be picking this up now that we beat the campaign. I'm aware that there are the challenge runs (mentioned in the pros list). Largely it feels like a demo or an early release rather than a full-fledged game. For the price I paid, I think I got my money's worth.

Definitely a fun game to play with friends. Even though it's short, you won't be short on laughs and good times in this game.

BFF or Die is an active puzzle game you can play single or multiplayer (I mostly played 2P), and it’s lots of fun! All levels have additional collectibles that disappear after a certain amount of time, so you really have to hone your strategy (and communication, in multiplayer) to be able to get them: 'now, you go bait the mummies so I can use the crane...', 'quickly, high-five before we die!' It’s the kind of game I’d recommend when you’ve got a few friends over looking for something fun to do! [Game played before it came out on Steam too, so the playtime’s lower than it would be]

Considering the price of this game, this is pretty fun to play with your friends (future ex-friends, since you're going to scream at each other face a lot on this game). The puzzle is not as casual so you would get bored or frustrated with some of the puzzles. I wish it has more story to it.

It's a really cool idea, but the execution falls on it's face... It randomizes more than it needs to, and playing with 2 little guys gets impossible an hour into playing.

Lots of fun! started playing it with friends and once we got started couldnt stop until we finished it! Strongly recommend it if you are looking for a couch co op game!
