there's a lot to be said about this game and im not sure where to even start the story itself is... decent. while i'm not done with it yet (im boutta half-way through), i don't exactly feel any attachment to this game nor do i feel the need to finish it. it's just... there. i always found the idea of a kid and an unknown entity protecting them sweet, so this scratches a certain part of my brain that's been neglected, but outside of that i don't find either the story nor other characters compelling in the slightest. if anything, most of them are either annoying or simply boring to me. this whole game (SO FAR, im stuck at the
CIA training program part
) is literally just weird kid + girlhood simulator no matter how you look at it. jodie herself is basically treated like eleven from stranger things, so i guess that adds onto another point why i dislike the duffer brothers and the amount of ♥♥♥♥ they are stealing but thats a whole nother topic altogether. on the topic of the spoilered thing, it brings me to the next part aka the WONKIEST CONTROLS I'VE EVER WITNESSED. i dunno, maybe it plays better on a controller, but mind you, IM ON A PC. the camera is really tough to move around and its hard to tell whether its fixed in place or not. the parts like combat and stuff are straight up unfair solely because the game doesnt register the movement of my mouse as it should. i move to the left as it instructs me? apparently thats wrong and it registers something entirely else, causing me to get constantly punished for its ♥♥♥♥♥♥ detection, which is another reason for me to not continue the game. maybe if i get a controller in the future, then yeah... but otherwise? nah. and it's certainly not a skill issue on my part because this sort of thing works PERFECTLY in every other game than this one so yeah. imo. if you want to play it then grab it on a discount and only if you have a controller cuz otherwise it sucks. and remember to take the new remixed version of the story option or whatever that thing is called cuz you won't understand the story at all if you dont LMAO the og version is such a mess, it's impossible to keep track of

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 16.14/day in the week to Aug 10 → 72.57/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
A cinematic journey worth experiencing
A truly great cinematic, choice-driven game where your decisions shape the story, relationships, and the lives of those around you. I played solo in Original (Cinematic/Non-Linear) mode, and I'd recommend playing it this way. The story was easy to follow despite the non-linear structure, and it made the overall experience feel more engaging. I played with mouse & keyboard. The controls were a bit janky at times—some QTE inputs didn't register properly, the camera could occasionally be frustrating, and character movement sometimes felt awkward. Still, none of these issues took away from the overall experience. Performance-wise, the game runs extremely well with no performance issues. Overall, it's a memorable game with a deeper meaning behind its story. Definitely worth experiencing. 8.5/10
5/10
It's fine if you turn off your brain and ignore all the blatant Cage-isms. The writing is inconsistent and the game-play is standard unstimulating QTE spam. It was a unique setting and world and that's all that kept me engaged at all. I hated all the characters that Jodie was supposed to love and by the end hated the characters I loved. Crazy work.
