About
A brutal FPS. One girl. One gun. One recording.
They broke into her life.
They filmed her. They destroyed her.
Now she's back - and she's filming them.
Better Than Dead is a brutal first-person shooter set in the depths of photorealistic Hong Kong.
You play as a survivor who’s done running. She’s got a pistol, a bodycam, and a kill list.
Every level is a raid. And every raid has a rhythm.
You'll die. You'll learn. You'll come back faster - until every run feels like the revenge scene it was meant to be.
Bodycam revenge shooter – Film every step. Every shot. Every death. No mercy.
Learn, adapt, dominate - Each room has a rhythm. Die, read the layout, and come back harder. Every run is faster than the last.
Photorealistic Hong Kong – Fight your way through iconic action-movie settings: neon-lit restaurants, seedy nightclubs, back alleys, rooftop dens.
Raw, aggressive gunplay - Slide into bullet time. Move fast. Hit harder.
Cinematic action style – Inspired by classic Hong Kong action films from the ’80s and ’90s.

good game DISCLAMER ITS 18+
Most interesting FPS since Ready or Not. Great setting
This is my very first bodycam style game ive played and i gotta say its super addicting and fun. I havent finished the game but so far i love the missions and atmosphere to them. I do wish they added more ways to make things go slowmow, so far if you slide you activate slowmow. Overall i love it, and recommend its a fun experience.

I LUV this game but sometimes the aiming is so weird and hard but pretty challenging
This game is absolutely amazing and is unique in a way I don't think a basic review can cover.
Sticking to it's premise
You are not a trained operator, you are not a cop, you're a normal woman who just got given a gun and a body camera and chooses to use it to kill her captors and the ones perpetrating the same harm that has been done to you unto others all the while recording it. As such, you're not as quick to line up your sights, you maybe don't have the best time following shots, and you sure as ♥♥♥♥ can't take a bullet. Getting shot once will slow you down, throw off your aim, and leave you vulnerable for a time. It does a damn good job at simply putting you in the shoes of an angry woman with not much else to loose. Visually the game is amazing, destruction that occurs while you're fighting adds a layer of intensity to the game that is greatly appreciated.
Early Access quirks
The game is in Early Access, obviously. There's small things that weren't too big a deal, but occasionally when an NPC is shot but not killed, they'll survive whatever fall they take, even if it's off a building. With NPC's who aren't killed fully being able to get back up, this means that occasionally if they fall somewhere inaccessible to the player meaning you can't get all kills on a level sometimes. Other than that, the only thing I can say is that while the destruction is nice, I have noticed sometimes certain things just not breaking. Like at the end of one level, when you find the last enemy before you have to escape, the computer he sits behind can take entire magazines worth of ammo for some reason. Tbf, it does protect you, but whatever monitors these guys got I want for myself. Overall I'd say a solid 8/10 with it's current standing.
