Thank you Capcom for bringing these games back for a new generation of gamers to experience. This is a fantastic collection of 10 titles with Warzard, Red Earth and Pocket Fighter being my two personal favorites. It brings back so many great Arcade memories everything feels perfect and i had no technical problems at all, the controls, music and graphics are just as i remember them. I picked this collection up twice, once here on Steam and the other on the Nintendo Switch and I have no regrets they are both awesome, truly worthy of their history and should be in all fighting fans collections. Tons of options at your disposal allow gamers of any level to enjoy these games from beginning to end. Whether you are a newcomer or a pro there is so much here to take in, you will not be disappointed. I give this collection the Highest possible recommendation.
Censorship is bad. Street Fighter II removed the Rising Sun and replace Hong Kong flag for CCP flag. Vampire games got Morrigan's alternate endings removed (too sexy).
In a different timeline, Darkstalkers IV exists.
I have no friends so I only played the single player arcade mode. I am in the 1.8% who has completed every game in the collection. I completed everything on 1-star difficulty since the CPU will cheat and the final boss will be a pain no matter which setting you choose. Abit more about difficulty below: Darkstalkers franchise is not that difficult and can be completed without quicksaves. Vampire Savior and it's special editions are both the most fun and the easiest games to complete. Red Earth is super unfair and hard against the last few characters, but at least it lets you keep the damage you already did when you die and continue so similarily to an arcade beatemup you will win eventually if you just keep "pumping in quarters". Super Puzzle Fighter II was tough for me on the later stages. Maybe I just suck at the game but I manged to win in a few tries. Super Gem Fighter is the easiest game in the whole collection. I didn't need a single continue. A cute little children's game. Cyberbots is very frustrating on the boss characters and this is one of the two games where I used quicksaves between round wins to not completely lose my mind on the boss characters. Not my type of game. Hyper Street Fighter II is great but the difficulty is ridiculous. Even though they have added the Japanese difficulty to the English version, instead of the original broken one. I completed it only through abusing quick saves and you should do the same. CPU is cheating so you should do the same.
Vampire Savior my goat
Hyper Street Fighter II with 1 frame input delay. Fantastic. Best way to play Street Fighter II. Incredible port, well done Capcom!
A série Darkstalkers acabou não me conquistando tanto quanto eu esperava.
Puzzle Fighter
temperamental and silently crashes on my work PC 80% of the time. i was really hoping to practice VSAV without having to jump through hoops to get it running, but not even this seems functional enough
