About
A brutal FPS. One girl. One gun. One recording.
They broke into her life.
They filmed her. They destroyed her.
Now she's back - and she's filming them.
Better Than Dead is a brutal first-person shooter set in the depths of photorealistic Hong Kong.
You play as a survivor who’s done running. She’s got a pistol, a bodycam, and a kill list.
Every level is a raid. And every raid has a rhythm.
You'll die. You'll learn. You'll come back faster - until every run feels like the revenge scene it was meant to be.
Bodycam revenge shooter – Film every step. Every shot. Every death. No mercy.
Learn, adapt, dominate - Each room has a rhythm. Die, read the layout, and come back harder. Every run is faster than the last.
Photorealistic Hong Kong – Fight your way through iconic action-movie settings: neon-lit restaurants, seedy nightclubs, back alleys, rooftop dens.
Raw, aggressive gunplay - Slide into bullet time. Move fast. Hit harder.
Cinematic action style – Inspired by classic Hong Kong action films from the ’80s and ’90s.

LOVE IT CANT WAIT FOR MORE
Honestly the game plays really really well and it looks great. I will be coming back to this for a while, it's hard to find a game like that I think the enemies could be a little more accurate, sometimes it felt a bit silly that they were missing me - the npcs also feel a little flat when reacting to the player. Might not be far in enough but an automatic gun would feel great here

Nice
i would love to see a one on one multiplayer mode on tight corridor based maps. fun game, has a potential to be a "Hotline Miami in 3D" the level select update added some replayability to the game and i like it. keep going
this game is actually fun, unlike most games
jogao... comprem sem medo, jogabilidade muito boa, graficos tops demais... super recomendo
its getting negative reviews from people who expect a very different game. this is an awesome concept. i've always thought about a game that makes brief gun fights REALLY intense and difficult, instead of prolonged fire fights with simple cover mechanics etc. this game does that really well. if you buy it expecting ready or not or bodycam then you might be disappointed, but if you want a game that imitates what YOU'D probably be like with a pistol in a night club, instead of some commando, then this is the game for you. the downside is that as of right now, the game is basically just that: a concept. It took me less than two hours to beat it and it gets kind of repetitive. it'd be cool to face varied enemies that both look different and have different weapons. i like that there isn't a ton of armor, i think "tank" bosses would go against the realism vibe, but still some variation i think is necessary. im half into the idea that your character only has a pistol, but the destructible environment did make me want to use a submachine gun or a shotgun lol. also, the story is simple but effective. no need to add characters or dialogue. i like how the levels themselves narrate the game.

its not a bad game. I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. HOWEVER some bugs make the game difficult to play (or just plain annoying). 1. the gun sway. Holy cow the gun sway makes it so hard to aim in this game its incredible. 2. bullet time seems to be a bit inconsistent. It'll trigger randomly (I assume when you get a headshot it triggers too, but its a bit confusing) 3. When taking damage the gun seems to be placed at a random position (?) for example, when I got shot, my gun got shifted to a higher position then where it is normally, making it difficult to figure out where the bullet is going to go. I think those were my major complaints with the game Some minor complaints being: 1. its a bit dark in some sections, which make it difficult to figure out where to go (specifically in the first level), maybe a flash light ;D 2. Directions are a bit weird too (too many doors that CANT be open) or at least a bit more proper signage for directions lol. 3. VOICE LINES AND STORY!. I think voice lines would go pretty nicely in this game, and while the story is pretty self explanatory, it seems to be all environmental story telling. then again it's all early access so what am I complaining about lmao. Any who nice game. I hope hand to hand combat is added, maybe more pistol variants or silencers. maybe an option to turn on a crosshair (mainly because I heard that fixes motion sickness too). For early access I rate 7/10.
An absolutlely unique experience. Even though Ive only played for a short time, the story already hits hard fast. The graphics and gunplay are very good, and everything feels incredibly. I like that the developers arent afraid to adress harsh topics. Things Id like to see, although I am not sure if theyre possible to implement: Not infinitive Ammo, when Mag is being dropped after a forced reload and it stays on the ground, casings stay on the ground, tactical reload, gun jams -missfire, error to feed round etc. , error when reloading under pressure, bodies of enemies dont jump around after being hit.
