About
In an alternate history Europe, “The Nightcap” is the last speakeasy in town, and you’re pouring the drinks… while your customers spill their secrets. Mix and serve cocktails with a twist, as you become a detective while trying to save your bar.

Listen to your clienteles’ stories and learn about their lives as you unravel a mystery that touches every layer of Bukovie society, from the drunken dandies splashing cash on cocktails, to the crooked cops and seedy lowlifes who try to rope you into their shady schemes.
A good bartender knows the art of conversation is just as important as the ability to pour libations, so listen carefully and keep your wits about you as you delight, charm or even threaten your patrons to get the information you need. With a cast of 20 unique and engaging characters it’s up to you to choose who you can trust, who will have your back… and who will stab you in it!

Over the course of five cases, you’ll have to explore every clue and question every suspect to save lives… and save your business. It’s time to flip that sign to open, turn up the jazz and welcome your first customers of the night.
Bukovie may be a city in strife, with labour strikes, rationing, unrest and the shadow of war looming, but instead of cowering in fear, the citizens flock to dance halls and speakeasies. Crumbling grandeur might inspire melancholy, but that’s nothing a stiff drink won’t cure.
In a world of dwindling light, your speakeasy is a bonfire in the night. Though the city may soon burn, cocktails are always…
Best Served Cold.

This game relies to much on specific situations for it to be an enjoyable mystery. For example, in order to solve one of the cases, you need a character to be in an INCREDIBLY SPECIFIC mood, that you honestly find out way too late. In order to do the 'correct' thing, I have to go back through an entire episode and try and do it better. That's an annoying time suck. I would not recommend this game.

Relaxing and thrilling story with interesting game mechanics.
I absolutely loved this! The story is great, as are the characters! Would definitely recommend!
protagonist change after case 0 ruined this for me. i liked first protagonists' dynamic with other characters, why am i supposed to care about this new person? all of that work talking to customers and getting affection points with them for nothing? infuriating. the clue system feels severely underbaked. i am forced to make connections on the board that already are obvious to me just to get another clue that i already understood on my own.
the fact that hugo presents the lighter and syringe and that murder chart only after a VERY specific interaction almost ruined the whole case for me - at that point i already deduced that it was elliot and just presented hugo everything i could out of desperation to progress the game.
this game would've been quite enjoyable, if not for these two major issues which made me not want to continue past case 0. there are other things i didn't particularly like, but i could've overlooked them otherwise.
This game is absolutely spectacular and criminally underrated, ive been hooked onto this game for the past few weeks and it is genuinely worth every minute of my time. The cases and plot twists are extremely interesting and they always kept me on my toes, this game was a real brainteaser and im super obsessed. The characters are so extremely well written and you can even get romance options, although i wish they developed the romance options more.. The music for this game was also perfect, this game is worth replaying even when you figure out the outcome of every case, and it has multiple endings! 10/10 recommend this game i frickin adore this game so much! This game managed to keep me entertained for so long and i wish it had more fans, the gameplay for mixing drinks was super simple so you could focus on the dialogue (which i very much appreciated hehe) but again, i absolutely recommend this game, if you love murder mystery games and visual novels, this is heaven,
This game is perfect for gamers who love a mystery and a good atmosphere. If Bukovie was real, I would absolutely spend time with these characters!
This game was recommended by a friend and I'm glad they did. Best Served Cold is a great visual novel murder mystery game with mostly great and likeable characters and a good story set in the prohibition era. Character design is beautiful leading to a distinct cast that are easy to get attached to. The music is also really well done and can make the game cosy to play :) However the gameplay loop of mixing the drinks can become stale and repetitive and can take away from the experience a little bit. Maybe once you've found their favoured drink you can then automatically make it in the future is you select it again to speed up the process. Overall after completing the game and getting all the endings I can highly recommend this game to others and I look forward to playing their next game!! 8/10
Well-plotted and well-written, just difficult enough for someone who plays a lot of detective games, but easy enough mechanics for someone to learn if theyre new to these types of games.
