About
Beneath is a Lovecraft-inspired survival FPS from a micro studio founded by two brothers, with a lifelong passion in horror and shooters. Scarce ammo, merciless enemies and a sense of the unknown combine in a 10+ hour, story-driven single player campaign, built for both veteran gamers and those seeking a challenging old school experience.
Seasoned diver Noah Quinn’s routine expedition plunges him into chaos, trapping him in the depths of the ocean, where an ancient evil lurks. As supplies dwindle and nightmarish creatures close in, Noah must confront horrifying mutations and unravel a sinister conspiracy that threatens humanity itself.
With his daughter’s life hanging in the balance, Noah is pushed to his limits in a desperate race against time. Can he uncover the truth and stop an ancient horror from surfacing, or will the abyss consume them all?

Created by two passionate brothers, Beneath fuses Lovecraftian horror with an action movie narrative set deep in the arctic ocean. You will race against time to find a cure for your daughter, fighting for survival as you travel between a series of research stations and discover the dark intentions of the Omnium Corporation.

Face a terrifying array of foes, from ruthless soldiers to grotesque Lovecraftian monstrosities. With limited ammunition you must manage your supplies, upgrade your arsenal and make smart use of environmental hazards to survive.

Nightmares have awoken in the depths. With your sanity slipping, you become vulnerable to the twisted visions and Eldritch abominations that attack your body and mind.

If you grew up loving old school shooters, this one will hit right in the spot. You play as a diver trapped in an underwater research station / stations that have seen better days, fighting things that probably shouldn't exist, with never quite enough firepower to feel comfortable. It's tense in a way that creeps up on you rather than jumping in your face, although sometimes that happens too. The sanity system adds a nice tough and fits with the Lovecraftian thing.
It's a great game!

10/10 its relly good
Solid survival FPS with scarce ammo, thick atmosphere and grotesque creatures. The story pulls you along as you fight to save your daughter, and the old-school gunplay keeps it intense. A bit janky in spots and the AI is hit-or-miss, but it's atmospheric and satisfying overall. Worth diving into if you like challenging horror shooters.
My performance review was scheduled for 4 PM and I was sure I was getting fired. Played this game during lunch to calm my nerves. Came back so focused and confident that I not only kept my job but got “Employee of the Month”. The boss said I looked like a different person. Thank you, game. You’re now part of my morning routine.
The atmosphere is easly the best part. Dark corridors, weird noises and disturbing things all around to keep the tension up most of the time. The shooting feels solid and enemies are smart enough to flank you, although sometimes the combat can get a bit repetitive. The story starts simple but becomes increasingly strange, with random sanity effects and some nice creepy moments. There are also slower sections that drag a little, but nothing too serious. It's not perfect and it doesn't really reinvent anything, but it's a solid action horror game with a lot of atmosphere.
Intense and claustrophobic. The pacing dips once or twice, but the atmosphere never lets go.
This is a good proof of concept game. If the devs had more manpower and money behind this project, they would have had a banger on their hands. The game oozes atmosphere... they knocked that aspect out of the park, the gunplay could have been tightened up, the hit registration and enemy rag dolls is just BAD. Weapon customization sucks, theres even a red dot sight on an UZI that has no reticle lol. I get what they were going for - this game has aspects of FEAR all over it... but what ended the show for me a game breaking bug towards the end of the game, from what I can tell I only had about 90 minutes left... I loaded into the next level and all of my ammunition was gone... and it was impossible to make it past the enemies on that stage as you are backed into a corner of an office and a squad of soldiers enters the office and you have to fight your way out.... cant do that with a crowbar vs guys with AR's and Shotguns. No way im replaying this just to see then end, I watched it on YOUTUBE... And from what I saw Im not missing anything lol. Cant wait to see what this dev cooks up next as this was a solid first entry despite the bug I encountered, Im sure lots of people didnt have that problem. I had a good time playing this game up until that point.
